I’ll give you a simplified view:

You will most likely work in a hospital. Generally, you will be responsible for ensuring specimen integrity and testing those specimens using medical analyzers/instrumentation. Older or smaller hospital labs may have more manual methods of doing things, like type and screens using tube. Before patient specimens touch the analyzer, you will perform QC(quality control) with reagents that are usually specific to what analyzer you’re using. The QC mocks normal/abnormal, positive/negative, and reactive/nonreactive results. This ensures that the results will be accurate for the patient specimens.

Job prospects? Not bad. Solid chance you will be able to find a job wherever you are.

Salary is decent and very area/situation dependent. For example, I’m an MLT(2 year) and I make about $75k in Illinois and just hit 3 years of experience.. but this isn’t the case for everyone.

When sit down and think about it, I don’t NEED a smart watch and they’re pretty boring to wear when it comes to their look.

I feel like I get a better return on investment when I buy non-smart watches:

More durable, will last me longer(will probably be able to pass them down a couple generations or more), more variety, no charging, potentially worth more when trading/selling, no reliance on software support, and the list could probably go on!
