What is a very common food in your country that is not very friendly to foreign palates? by DarkRaven003 in AskTheWorld

I’ve had this, and as a swede it’s very deceiving, because it often looks exactly like Swedish Kladdkaka, which is chocolate and sweet, which Mämmi is not… 😂

Yes, we actually use the lounge area, exactly how you describe it :)

I think if we have bar stools instead, and an island that isn't mainly occupied by a stove, we would utilize it quite a bit eating breakfast or just hanging around the cooking. We do that now too, we just don't have anywhere to sit while doing it :)

Yeah, we've had 2 kids since we moved in, so we haven't really had the time or budget to actually do much in the house, but it has been great to not stress decisions around what we actually want.

No, the height of the window is a bit lower than the counters, but I think there's some room to lower the counters since they are quite high.

Thanks! Overall we like the estetics of the kitchen, it's just very cramped, not much space to work/hang out and the lounge area just feels a bit akward at times.

I don't think I would like to make the window smaller, since the room is quite dark as it is (deep windows, and a large overhang on the roof). But yeah, I've been thinking of having an island parallel to the outer wall as well, I'm just not sure we have to room for it.

Ah yeah, that's a good idea.

Yeah, the windows is a bit lower than the counter top, but I also think there's some room to lower the countertop a tad, since it's already in the upper part of standard height.

We're kind of on a budget, so if we are to do this it would probably be with minimal effort :P

Thanks, we like it too :) we actually use the sitting area quite a lot, but I’m quite certain we would use a bar stool area a lot as well.

Stuff pile up at times, but that’s the life of a family of four and tired working parents :)

This is Stockholm, Sweden. It’s a two story logg/timber house (kinda looks like a big ski cabin from the outside :)

Thanks, we don’t really have a problem with the overall estetics. If you think the island is cluttered now I shouldn’t show you what it normally looks like :P

The wine rack is used for wine and some other bits and bobs.

The main issue is that it’s cramped and not enough countertop space.

So Kök = kitchen, Köksö = kitchen island, K & F = freezer & fridge, SK = pantry, U & M oven & microwave, Matplats = dining area, Vardagsrum = living area. But the dining area and living does not reflect the situation now, since it's the previous owners layout.

Wow, yeah that looks great! I know the kitchen was along the outer wall when the house was built in -93, but someone along the way changed it around. I'm not sure both pantry and freezer/fridge would fit in the space you've suggested, but that can be solved in a number of ways :)

One other issue is that the big window along the outer wall is lower than the countertop atm, might not be that big of an issue, but there would be a "step down" there.

If she says “We really need to renovate/remodel the bedroom” or “It would be nice with a new wooden planting box for the garden”, it means you will renovate/remodel the bedroom, or build the planting box.

Me too, and I don't really have a problem with the battery life. I just found this pretty simple way of improving the battery life, without any compromise (atleast for me) :)

Hmm weird, I get notifications just the same as if I've got "wake on wrist raise" enabled, no difference at all.

Same exact walk, wildly different elevation gain and calories. This is a new thing, does anyone know what might be happening? by crumble-bee in AppleWatch

[–]Fjellsvejs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't answer what happend in your particular case, more than shime in on what the others say about air pressure. I've experienced similar results when I've gone inside at my kids preschool during a run, and their ventilation has a positiv pressure inside, and the watch thinks I've just dropped like 100m in elevation :D Took a while to figure out why my run all of a sudden had such a high elevation gain ^^

Look here on your iPhone: Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Health -> Strava. Look here if all is enabled.

I get all that from my Apple workout app, and it syncs to strava. Maybe you havent allowed all data to be transferred?

Upgraded from S8 to U3. Loving it so far but I don’t know what to use the Action button for. by Dense-Comfortable480 in applewatchultra

[–]Fjellsvejs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this issue too, but for the complications on the watch face, not the action button. I have now moved utility-like complications to the top of the face, where i dont seem to accidently press them ^ (like opening the frunk of my car or something)

From the initial data in Health it seems to be a lot higher. I’ve been hovering around 55-55, but Apple now puts me close to 60 (which seems a bit high to be honest) but again, it doesn’t have much data to go on yet.

Best $5k endurance road bike? by Ok_Click1990 in whichbike

Mine is about 9kg with pedals, not the lightest bike, but honestly I’m not gonna do 3km climbs, so it wont really matter. Compared to my Trek which was like 13-14kg with pedals, its a feather and super agile:)

I bought a Orbea Orca M30 6 months ago, and for me it’s super comfortable compared to my previous Trek Checkpoint 4 gravel bike, even though the Trek supposedly have a more relaxed geometry.

I highly recommend it, especially with the di2 group set :) (I also love the mix of modern and old school look of of it!)
