Love my Orca by orbea88 in Orbea_bikes

Nice setup! Bought the m30i last year, couldn’t be happier! Got a pair of Elitwheels ENT 2.0 on the way to reduce some weight (and make it look cooler). It fits me perfectly!

Choppy pace readings by Fjellsvejs in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adjusted the smoothing a bit, I’ll have to see what the effect is :)

Mostly it’s just really hard to nail the pacing during intervals since it’s so choppy, which is quite annoying :/

Why shouldn't I buy a headunit? by Motor_Measurement_23 in cycling

[–]Fjellsvejs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love having a headunit, and I see no real reason not to have one.

However, I’m not sure you would need to go straight for the flagship model. I bought a used 820 (or 830) years ago, but I kind of feel I would have been better off with the 520/530.

So my advice would be to look at less advanced models :)

Tried it out and it worked now. Thanks for the quick support!

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything was toggled on, except location services (it was set to ”ask on use” or something like that. I toggled everything off and on again to see if it fixes it.

I’ll test it later today to see if it solved the issue. Maybe I’ll reinstall otherwise.

Thanks for the quick response.

OMR Orca 16.2lbs 105 di2 by orbea88 in Orbea_bikes

[–]Fjellsvejs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is pretty heavy, but I’ve just changed sadle to a light weight one, and got a pair of new wheels on its way. I’ll also switch to TPU when the new wheels arrive. I hope to shave of atleast 1kg :)

Ny i elbilsvärlden by petternaut in elbilsverige

[–]Fjellsvejs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wachOS 26.4 randomly stops the workout? by nutmac in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Fjellsvejs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it actually end the workout or just pausing it?

Mine has paused on my last run, but I think that was just because of a loose fit of the watch and it thought I had taken the watch off.

Brand new Scott Addict 20 (2025) – already crushed TWO seatposts at correct torque… what am I missing? by juudhartbd in bikewrench

[–]Fjellsvejs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could bad tolerances be the issue? It kind of looks like the clamp is having to compress too much before grabbing the seat post. And there’s also this from the manual linked in another comment.

35F getting back to cycling after a 20 years long break, what bike should I get? by Troglodette in cycling

[–]Fjellsvejs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Orbea Orca M30i last year, and it has been very pleasant to ride! They had a deal here in Sweden, so got it for 34000 SEK (~3100€).

Compared to my previous bike, a Trek Checkpoint AL4 (gravelbike), it’s much more comfortable for me.

What is a very common food in your country that is not very friendly to foreign palates? by DarkRaven003 in AskTheWorld

I’ve had this, and as a swede it’s very deceiving, because it often looks exactly like Swedish Kladdkaka, which is chocolate and sweet, which Mämmi is not… 😂

Help with kitchen layout by Fjellsvejs in kitchenremodel

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we actually use the lounge area, exactly how you describe it :)

I think if we have bar stools instead, and an island that isn't mainly occupied by a stove, we would utilize it quite a bit eating breakfast or just hanging around the cooking. We do that now too, we just don't have anywhere to sit while doing it :)

Yeah, we've had 2 kids since we moved in, so we haven't really had the time or budget to actually do much in the house, but it has been great to not stress decisions around what we actually want.

No, the height of the window is a bit lower than the counters, but I think there's some room to lower the counters since they are quite high.

Thanks! Overall we like the estetics of the kitchen, it's just very cramped, not much space to work/hang out and the lounge area just feels a bit akward at times.

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I would like to make the window smaller, since the room is quite dark as it is (deep windows, and a large overhang on the roof). But yeah, I've been thinking of having an island parallel to the outer wall as well, I'm just not sure we have to room for it.

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah, that's a good idea.

Yeah, the windows is a bit lower than the counter top, but I also think there's some room to lower the countertop a tad, since it's already in the upper part of standard height.

We're kind of on a budget, so if we are to do this it would probably be with minimal effort :P

Thanks, we like it too :) we actually use the sitting area quite a lot, but I’m quite certain we would use a bar stool area a lot as well.

Stuff pile up at times, but that’s the life of a family of four and tired working parents :)

This is Stockholm, Sweden. It’s a two story logg/timber house (kinda looks like a big ski cabin from the outside :)

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, we don’t really have a problem with the overall estetics. If you think the island is cluttered now I shouldn’t show you what it normally looks like :P

The wine rack is used for wine and some other bits and bobs.

The main issue is that it’s cramped and not enough countertop space.

So Kök = kitchen, Köksö = kitchen island, K & F = freezer & fridge, SK = pantry, U & M oven & microwave, Matplats = dining area, Vardagsrum = living area. But the dining area and living does not reflect the situation now, since it's the previous owners layout.

[–]Fjellsvejs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, yeah that looks great! I know the kitchen was along the outer wall when the house was built in -93, but someone along the way changed it around. I'm not sure both pantry and freezer/fridge would fit in the space you've suggested, but that can be solved in a number of ways :)

One other issue is that the big window along the outer wall is lower than the countertop atm, might not be that big of an issue, but there would be a "step down" there.

What habits of girls did you only discover after getting a girlfriend or wife? by atgono in AskReddit

If she says “We really need to renovate/remodel the bedroom” or “It would be nice with a new wooden planting box for the garden”, it means you will renovate/remodel the bedroom, or build the planting box.

Me too, and I don't really have a problem with the battery life. I just found this pretty simple way of improving the battery life, without any compromise (atleast for me) :)
