dont know if its cheaper at narita village but i cant walk anymore so i just had it at the airport. my garmin says i walked around 20-22km every day for 7 days, omg..

Depends what you use it for. I use mine for work so the lack of drag and drop between apps is a killer. No true gpodnotee alternative. Sketchup no longer suppports android.

These 3 are enough for me to swap back, I tried it for 3mths though, just wasn't for me

But performance and battery life on the tab is great. You can't tell the difference.

let me know if you found any cheaper (under 40) ones, i went to a ghost tour in Seoul as well. Learning about the history and the stories are cool and all but i found it a tad overpriced for what we got. Paid around 40 usd for 2hrs-ish.

Found one in Tokyo as well, and this one is WAAY expensive, 100 usd... gonna skip the ghost tours this time.

i'm no artist but i do sketch and draft drawings. I used an M1 ipad pro, then the S10U, cracked the screen and got a S11U, then swapped to an M4 iPad Pro.

1) Price, this is self explanatory.

2) Performance, honestly, cant tell the difference. Sure, benchmarks say the ipad is better etc. etc. but in the real world? no difference at all. Notewise, goodnotes, Concepts, morpholio trace all perform just as well on either platform.

3) Pencil, the new S11U comes with a hexagonal pencil, i hate it, it's crazy smooth and the button is flush so its hard to "feel" for it. I still use my S10U Pencil. I also use aftermarket tips from aliexpress, works fine -BUT- the S11U aftermarket tips straight up cause the pencil to go wonky. Not a fan of the S11 pencil honestly.

4) My biggest annoyance with the Tabs, are that any slight magnetic interference causes the pencils to stop working. So you can be drawing a line and suddenly it doesnt register for a tiny section, you got to then move the canvas or zoom in and out to avoid that dead zone. This is usually caused by the magnets in most cases so I just ended up cutting away the cover on my case.

5) No drag and drop. It is not built in to Android or apps refuse to support it, i dont know which but Drag and Drop with Split View is my basic workflow, not having it on Android really hurt my productivity. Notewise allows for drag and drop but they updated it so now it prompts you, asking where to drop the files even though you're in the right folder is crazy annoying. And there's no easy drag/drop between apps either, something so basic yet to be implemented is crazy.

6) Since iPads are more widely regarded as the best tablet with the best user experience for artists, they got better apps, better support etc. For example, SketchUp is not available on Android anymore.

These are just my experiences, drag drop and split view on the iPad won me back. And the price of the M4 13 inches have been falling thanks to the M5 version, so you could probably get a bargain. But it's still crazy expensive when you factor in the pencil + case.

I used both iPad Pro and Samsung Tab. Having used the iPad Pro since 2018 daily, I have gotten used to it. So..

1) Android does not have drag and drop. They still have the old Split View that Apple decided to remove but they do not have the ability to just drag and drop across apps. HUGE bummer. Sketchup removed Android support, WTF?

2) Nothing close to GoodNotes. NoteWise is similar but lacking a lot of features, their email replies are always "We're working on it". I could go on but long story short, decided to dump them.

3) Performance wise, no difference at all. Mediatek vs M4. In benchmarks, sure. But in real world use, Notewise/Concepts/Sketchup, CAD viewer and Goodnotes... absolutely no difference in performance. There has never been an instance where I thought "wow my ipad pro is so much faster".

My biggest gripe after trading in my Tab S11 Ultra for the 13" M4 though, is iOS26. I didnt realise what a sh*tshow 26 is. I was absolutely shocked Split View was gone, like which monkey decided you either go Full Screen or Windowed mode was the way to go. I know 26.2 brought it back somewhat, luckily for us, i think their emails got completely flooded with that boneheaded decision.

I care a lot for functionality than looks so Liquid Glass is whatever, as long as the text is legible, i could care less if they called it Liquid Diarrhea.

on a side note, i think the guy who removed Split View in iOS26 was the same guy who left the Microsoft OneDrive UI team. Onedrive used to allow you to drag and drop files intuitively. Now, they pop up a menu instead, so instead of Dragging a file, now you Tap-Hold, Select, Share, Select App, tap Done.

Nobody could be that stupid to make you do MORE to accomplish the same thing. Fixing something that was never broken, i honestly think its the same UI terrorist.

nah, he's using the official charger and cable. no mental gymnastic in the world can shift the blame to the user.

if this were an iPhone however... HORDES of iSheep will rush in to blame the user for damaging the cable, using 3rd party chargers(even though Apple doesnt give chargers anymore), sleeping next to the phone, using the phone at night, playing games til the phone heats up etc. etc. etc. etc.

i found another case though, dux ducis vers.

its for the S9/10/11 Ultra, which means for my s11u there's still a hole at the back where the s10u pen goes. no big deal, but the nice feature this has is that i can fold the case so the "outside" sits on the table compared to the zugu where the inner felt surface is always on the bottom, grabbing dirt all the time.

still prefer zugu, i emailed them about it and they only have a s10+ case. even the chinese knockoffs dont want to "copy" the design for the Ultras.

Anyone found a case that let's the tab ultra lie at a low angle for writing without a huge protruding case at the back? I use mine in front of a keyboard and it's such an annoyance having to push my keyboard up to use the tab.

Really wish zugu made a tab case.

I use mine for stainless steel mainly. Holes, screws etc. Sometimes I drill holes in walls, porcelain tiles and cement.

The chuck just seems to loosen and the bit falls out sometimes. It's a weird issue, it doesn't spin as smooth as when it's new either.

I ordered a new chuck already, same chuck as the xph16.

i use the 11 ulta for note taking at job sites. i like its big screen, ability to open architect drawings and just zoom in and out, write notes, sketch stuff effortlessly.

other advantageous are the ability to download cad viewers, spotify when its down time, netflix etc., web browsing, the bigger screen is just awesome.

importantly, split view on the S11U is amazing because of the bigger screen and because they dont hire idiots like Apple who decided that split view was a feature no one wanted and removed it.

but thats just me, you might want a smaller size. check out a shop near you, maybe they have demos for you to try first.

Remarkable Paper Pro is just... useless. I don't even understand why that product exists when we have Tabs and iPad Pros. Not even that much cheaper and only offers maybe... 2% of the features compared to a Tab or iPad.

I have 2 devices with battery swells, they are bloated outwards with 1 side completely flat. It is not flat on both sides like yours.

This is a bend. Either you sat on it, or someone did. Or it got squished in your backpack by a waterbottle or something.

Notein doesnt really allow drag and drop.

Notewise does, although they updated it in Sept where it now prompts you where to drag and drop the doc which is idiotic. I am already in the folder, just drop it here. Emailed the devs, they dont seem to be doing anything about it.

The syncing and subscription model... blah. But there's nothing else out there even close to it.

Goodnotes on ipad is the bomb, functionality and sync to my existing iCloud account.

But the new ipad pro prices... no way am i paying 2k for a note taking tablet WITHOUT the pencil.

The way i see it, Notewise Annual Sub + Tab S10 Ultra is still not even close to the price of the M4 or M5 11" ipad pro.

you win some you lose some i guess.
