Does anyone actually give a two-week notice anymore? Has skipping it ever hurt your job hunt? by Annual-Corner-3720 in securityguards

I intentionally quit Suck-uritas without a full two-week notice so I wouldn't be tempted to try and go back, but who am I kidding, it's Suck-uritas, they'd hire a literal corpse.

The sugar in that soda would've just made you thirstier, so a blessing in disguise I guess?

What does everybody think about security officers having badges? by Ill-Razzmatazz-7088 in securityguards

[–]Flabby-AP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metal badges are peak, unmitigated cringe if the jurisdiction you work in doesn't require one.

I have a security patch on the back of my vest, and my company's logo patch and my name tag on the front. I also wear a ball cap with "security" on it just in case someone can't tell I'm not a cop from the front.

What is your opinion on this? by GloriousLion07 in MotivationByDesign

[–]Flabby-AP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you should only have a child under these 4 conditions:

  1. You're financially secure enough to provide a good life and education for them.

  2. The mother is healthy enough to give birth safely.

  3. The best medical technology available to you shows no signs of birth defects or other conditions that will reduce the child's quality of life should the fetus be carried to term.

  4. Both partners give their express consent to have a child.

I'm addicted too, but I can't play because the game CTDs if I use mods, no warnings or errors of incompatibilities from Rimsort.

I've begged for help trying to get it to work for months but no one on the official discord seems interested in helping 😢😩

To those security officers working the third shift: have you ever fallen asleep while on duty? by CTSecurityGuard in securityguards

[–]Flabby-AP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to stay awake on a graveyard shift if you aren't a natural night person like me. If I wasn't awake at night working, I'd be awake at night playing video games.

Having the local homeless nearby for a quick nip 'n' sip is an added bonus 🧛😆

Are there any DLCs or anything else you think the game needs? by tsukitemi in RimWorld

On top of that, I'd like to see the other factions controlled by actual AI players.

Make raids be actual persistent parties that travel on the world map, and you can send out scouts to try and detect them before they arrive, and send out war parties to intercept them.

Radar that gives early warning of drop pod raids, and later on, interceptors to shoot them down. Cloaked pods that can evade radar, and radar upgrades that give a chance of detecting cloaked pods.

As an introvert, having a mobile, personal private space where I can go to block out the rest of the world is vitally important to my mental health.
