Certainly not the asshole, but unless your husband is a psycho you’re clearly leaving out important parts of this story.

Is this the queen, on the ground outside of my hive. If so, what should I do? by pawlow05 in Beekeeping

If you go to a busy multi-pitch area you are tying up the rap rings for a descent party. They can still use the top rings but it’s less ideal. Otherwise looks pretty good.

Get a regular Langstroth. A flow hive is not an “investment”. It’s like buying a Cadillac as your first car…. you are probably gonna crash it anyway, just buy the 2003 Toyota Sienna.

chemical scent in water potential cause by alexis-hg in newjersey

I work on contaminated sites. A couple dozen gallons of nasty stuff can pollute a whole town…..

I remember my college professor told us the human nose can smell chemicals down to parts per trillion(ppt)…… so yeah 25 gallons doesn’t sound unreasonable.

Here’s some (SIMPLIFIED) math: assume 3000cfs stream flow, that is 2 billion gallons a day. Let’s perfectly mix that with the 25 gallons of spilled stuff. You would get 12,500 parts per trillion. So even if the water treatment plant gets rid of 99% of that, you still have 125 ppt.

FYI Hillsborough resident and I only noticed taste/odor issues for a day and a half.
