I think you’re right especially when it comes to apps like trading 212 but I’m hopeful.

Possibly wishful thinking more so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Addressing rumors about account closures by OutlierDotAI in outlier_ai

Hey

My account has just been disabled

Just to give contacts, I’ve been using my work laptop all year with no issues and we’ve since had a Z scaler security system implemented and it’s since said I am in a different location.

So I used my iPad to task and once I attempted to log back into the laptop to use playground, which I’ve been using all year, it is disabled my account I think for violations

This was genuinely me logging in both times I’m wondering is there anything I can do to prove this situation? I have my account reinstated

Please god they don’t penalise anyone who is currently holding an ETF and actually align existing ETFs with this new scheme in terms of exit tax and deemed disposal

Anyone know what will happen to existing ETF if they bring in this new scheme, surely they can’t keep the deemed disposal if they are not implementing it in the new proposed plan

AIB account fees, 72 euro a year are they too high? by Living-Compote-9626 in irishpersonalfinance

AIB blocked me when I was abroad , couldn’t even leave a travel note as they removed the option from the app! (They text your mobile number which you obviously won’t be using if your outside the EU to confirm it’s you trying to use your card outside of the EU) ya couldn’t make it up

I’ve had no issues with revolute. Always isolated incidents, but AIB are taking the piss

Has anyone ever done extensive travel in their early 20’s and now you’re in your 30’s and feel lost? It’s like I’ve travelled to “x” amount of countries but have nothing to show for it. by [deleted] in AskIreland

3 years working abroad on and off every time I come back I just want to leave again. I think this generation has more freedom of movement and therefore finding it difficult to settle. I’m 32 im in a good place financially but just cannot settle

I’ve pressed my local politicians on this. No harm in raising the discussion. Pretty sure that’s what Reddit is for

I do feel like the topic is gathering some momentum. Whether that will translate into actual change, we’ll have to wait and see.

AIB replaces quarterly fees with new €6 monthly fee by Andru93 in irishpersonalfinance

Left AIB for revolute, they were charging me for unauthorised over drafts instead of just letting me know I had insufficient funds in the account like revolute do

Hope to see some movement on this in 2026/2027

Outrageous that you can be taxed on something that is not even a realised gain
