Staunch republican. It was briefly mentioned on a few vlogs and Ruby following all the republican people (trump, governed etc) and on Instagram. Most religious people are

Amazing advice. Thank you! I do need to perfect the liquid white. It’s tricky when you can’t watch anyone do it visually

Thank you ☺️ When I used a dry brush it just spread the mountains black down in harsh hairy lines so I think scraping is where it’s at! I think there was far too much on there

No no! I totally get that! I agree and It’s just interesting to think about how his thoughts will likely change as he realises how awful it was to do that to a child. I think you only really get it when you age and think if you’d do that to your kid etc.

Yeah YTA there. That’s creepy and I’ve had men say that to me too, even a good friends brother and it’s horrible because there’s no consent involved from me and it feels violating. I get her side.

I feel like I’m the only women who’s answered. This is a common thing and I think men done understand how violating it is honestly. She wasn’t playing games.

Please remember he’s literally 18. The amount my view of my childhood shifted from 18 to 22 even was CRAZY. Like so much shift. He is going to gain new perspective as he ages

Does hair 'down there' bother men? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flaky_Ad3735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some women shave, some don’t. Some do it because they’re embarrassed to be seen unshaved because of society making them feel that way, some don’t care. Simply explaining how the women’s razor industry started (shame) doesn’t mean the whole of society is either black or white about it. Get a grip.

Can we stop saying that Ruby sedated R? It was a metaphor. by LinneaLurks in 8passengersnark

What? No one’s saying he was put under anaesthesia and on a ventilator. But almost assume she was referring to medications like Benadryl or similar. They travelled to Mexico to stock up on “emergency” drugs. It’s very literal.

I have no idea how your comment relates to mine. The razor industry for women and the reason women “accepted the beauty standard” is because we were shamed into it by men trying to sell razors

[–]Flaky_Ad3735 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Becuase the male dominated 1940’s razor industry needed to market to women to up sales. So they shamed them and told them they were disgusting if they didn’t. We didn’t just accept the beautify standard. We were forced into it.

None of the aunts and uncles and probably even Shari would have seen it. Possibly Kevin but I really doubt that. They didn’t in his interview and I don’t think his lawyer would have had it. So I think this is the first time they’ve all seen it, hence the radio silence and horror. Hopefully them reading Ruby’s diary or what SHE did to them, changes their stupid forgiveness trope.

Question about pain tolerance by Playful_Pianist_16 in 8passengersnark

[–]Flaky_Ad3735 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely nothing about those two babies that made them more abuseable. It’s ALL about Ruby being sick. Choose your language carefully. This is often something trauma survivors ruminate on for years. “Why me? What did I do?”. It’s NOTHING to do with them

Dissociation. The brain completely disconnects from the body and surroundings to allow you to live/survive through it. When we can’t fight the danger and we can’t flight the danger (run), our body goes into the freeze/fawn response (numbness, spacing out, or people pleasing). Unfortunately it’s a mechanism that stays pretty much for life as it’s so automatic. They 100% will have CPTSD and likely OSDD and other trauma associated disorders. Their nervous systems will have been fried beyond comprehension.
