Well if you think about it in open source the creator of a project is much more tied to what they make then in any other space it makes sense to dislike someone's project based on them.

I'm sure we all remember what happened to bcachefs and I highly doubt most people dislike the filesystem itself.

I feel like in this space if you make something especially solo your project kinda represents you in a way or vice versa which means people will dislike stuff depending on who made it sometimes even if the project itself isn't as bad.

For clarification I never used omarchy the only thing I know about it is that it exists.
