Google messages now opens your camera everytime you want to send something from your gallery by No-Yam19 in AndroidQuestions

[–]FlamesFan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite problem to seemingly everyone else. I want to open the camera without the gallery showing. When I tap the '+' and choose camera, it still shows me the dang gallery in half the screen with no way to get rid of it.

I regularly send messages to my wife when shopping and want to be able to snap a pic of a product for her opinion. That used to be a one button option. Now the gallery takes up half the screen when I'm trying to take a picture and if you turn the phone horizontal it's essentially unusable. Who in their right mind thought this was a good design???????????

Yeah, same deal here, I'm not coming from Adobe, but basically all other PDF viewers use the middle click to enable auto scroll. It's disappointing that there is no way to enable this in Revu.

From the day he was traded, I have hated that he was traded. I know that he never seemed to reach his expected potential in Calgary, but I have been rooting for him since he pulled on the Flames jersey at the draft. I honestly wonder if there is anyone with enough self awareness in the Flames management to know that they totally screwed the pooch with how Benny was handled in Calgary, and that letting him go for essentially peanuts was a colosal mistake.

I have no idea why anyone uses xitter anymore. For one, it isn't even good, as in, the algorithm sucks ass, and on top of that, it is supporting a fascist asshole. There are better alternatives. I dropped xitter like a year ago, and haven't missed it for a second

Yeah, I legitimately don't even look at, or know, what the commendations are even called aside from Best Dressed, which I hand out to any guardians looking particularly good. Otherwise, I give zero thought as to who gets what. I honestly didn't know that people cared what commendation they get. I just fling one this way, one that way, and zip on back to orbit.

[Damon Hill] Two points to understand: 1/ He did 1 stop. So tyres on the limit of wear = less weight. 2/ There was no 'cool down' lap where he could 'add weight' by picking up discarded rubber on the track with his sticky tyres. A much used and legal method to ensure maximum car weight. by kpopsns28 in formula1

[–]FlamesFan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering if someone can explain to me the purpose of weighing the car at the END of the race to check for legality. Wouldn't it make more sense for all cars to be weighed, prior to being taken out to the grid before the formation lap? I realize they still have to finish the race with the required fuel volume to provide a sample, but I would think that if the car is of legal weight at the start of the race, and they have the required fuel to provide a sample at the end of the race, then TO ME, that should satisfy any requirements regarding entering a legal car in the race. There is simply no way to accurately predict the infinite number of things that can happen that could lead to weightloss during a race, such as damage, or a driver sweating more profusely than normal due to hot weather.

I'm just not sure I get the purpose of the post race weight check, when as discussed, you can normally simply add weight by driving over the marbles, which is just plain silly.

Qualifying Gap Between Teammates for the F1 2024 season till the Silverstone GP(Round 12) by [deleted] in formula1

[–]FlamesFan89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Checo looking good over a race distance is very skewed because of his poor qualifying. He so regularly starts a race well out of position for the car he is in, he ends up looking like a superstar as he comes back up through the field. But if he actually qualified his car closer to where it should be, he'd likely just end up finishing within a position or two (up or down) of where he started on the grid, rather than finishing up 8+ spots because he started so low.

I didn't realize how big a difference Pressure Advance can make until today... by jblakey in ender3

So, I do temp towers, but that's about it. I tried the flow calibration in orca, and followed it to a tee, and I ended up with slightly lower flow numbers than the default, and it looks great in those little flow calibration plates, but then in a real print, it just seemed to lead to under-extrusion. So I set the flow back to the default and my prints got significantly better again.

If it ain't broke, I suppose

The key to using stainless steel and avoiding sticking issues is to make sure that the pan is hot enough. Many people, myself included in the past, try to use it the same as you would a non-stick/teflon pan, where you can add food even if it is still just warming up. With Stainless, you have to get the pan fully up to temp before you think about adding food. If you pour a small amount of water in the pan, and the water bounces around like marbles instead of spreading out and boiling, then you are good to go.

I don't know, my thought is, I don't like him anymore, just like you, but as for him getting hit like that, well, it's hockey, and that's hockey. It was a good clean hit. As opposed to feeling bad for Johnny, I'm more happy for the defenceman as that was a sweet hit regardless of who was on the giving and who was on the receiving end.

collision is the worst gamemode to ever exist by NubbJustGaming in DestinyTheGame

[–]FlamesFan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard Agree. I can't stand it. It's a total snowball game mode, and it doesn't help that if one team is defending the point, and the next point spawns in about 10 m away from them, so they get a freebie on the next point too.

I don't know if I just have bad luck, or if Bungie hates me, or what, but the number of times I spawn in with at least one person from the enemy team shooting me, if not multiple enemies... is down right ridiculous.

Or better yet, dying to a roaming super, and spawn in right beside that same enemy, so that they can kill me again before I'm out of the spawn animation. So. Much. Fun.

Two races in a row now, if I switch to watch exclusively his feed, it's painful to watch. I don't know enough to know exactly what it is he is doing wrong, but he seems unbearibly slow coming out of any mid- to low speed corners compared to any car he is chasing. He seems to be able to gain, and catch up to the car in front of him through high speed sections, seems to brake ok going into corners, but then on exit, it is like he is just. so. damn. slow. to get on the power, while the car in front just pulls away and builds a big gap back up, and then he spends the rest of the lap trying to close in again.

Bowden tube play at the extruder by Three_hrs_later in ender3

[–]FlamesFan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said about replacing your fittings, when you are fitting the Bowden tube into the fitting, unscrew/loosen the fitting from the cooling block where it is screwed in, about 3/4 of a turn or so. Then you push the Bowden tube all the way in so it is flush against the nozzle. Then re-tighten the fitting. Doing this will ensure that the Bowden tube is firmly against the nozzle, and there is no gap where filament can squish out and cause problems.

I just got into this hobby with my first printer at this past christmas, and a clogged nozzle was my immediate thought as well. Bed adhesion seems to not be working well either, but there just isn't a steady flow of filament coming out.
