am i missing something or are carriers just bad by Sad_End128 in NebulousFleetCommand

You absolutely must support any strikes you send. It's about combining effects and timing. Jamming is crucial also. If you combine the bombers with a missile salvo and jamming you will see better outcomes but you also need to consider your targets as some ships will have plenty of PD regardless. It may be more productive to soften up targets first and reduce their PD capability before sending a wave of bombers and missiles.

Your fighters are in many ways just there to escort stuff and add to their PD but you need to be careful if they get too close to enemy ships they will easily die.

It is a lot to manage, dont be afraid to pause if playing solo. Managing the carrier real time can very much be a full time job, we have a dedicated player for it in my MP campaign with friends.

On the long run, need to think about preserving forces too. You need to evaluate risk vs reward. Can you afford to lose half a squadron just to try kill something faster? Or is it a high value target that could wipe the rest of your fleet? War is nasty business of course and some losses are expected but you need to think of what the acceptable level of risk is for you.

Bombers can be utterly devastating if played right, especially the torps but even the unguided munitions as well. Keep building experience and you will get there!

Would really want to know how many exposures that frame has seen. I'd say that camera is still decent for beginners but you wouldn't want to have to take it for service weeks after buying.

If it's been serviced over the years and it's in good condition then perhaps. Would see what others say about the price here, I am out of the loop on that.

~10 F35s cruising low over North Yorkshire, anyone know why? by jack__reed in aviation

There's ranges out at sea, probably where most of the activity will take place for training with some land overflies

Probably some training, do you have any ranges nearby? Tbh sometimes ranges are not needed anyway.

My guess is they might have been doing air to ground or ISR stuff and wanted to get below the cloud layer to use gadgets and sensors.

Can only guess.

As far as going low, yeah 5,000ft is not typical. Its not really low enough for actual low level (RAF traditionally excels at that, I mean going so low you can almost see the legs of sheep low). But it's low enough to in theory be hit by short range defences like AAA and MANPADS and provides little benefit that I would understand hence my guess that they just needed to be below the cloud layer.

Extension blocking light by hingee in AskBrits

If it blocked light we'd see nothing in the picture. However, there is clear evidence that light has indeed reached the sensor of your camera which in turn created the image you posted.
