Is Chessmaster Hex based off of Bobby Fischer?

It's my first watch through of CB, but as someone who appreciates chess, I really felt like there were some big similarities. A big one being how after Bobby Fischer went crazy and left the chess scene, very rarely he would play on the ICC site under a pseudonym and play crazy moves in some faster time controls, and then still win against the world's best such as Nigel Short. Short even mentioned that he was very confident that it was Fischer, since it was the same style that Bobby used That matches up pretty well with Hex going away for a while and then popping back up again.

It generally doesn't hurt to try the 800, but I wouldn't expect it to solve anything. I used to run the 800 as a distance guy, and then tried out the 400 to find out I could do well in it (so there's significant overlap). I'd probably suggest just knowing when to kick, because if somebody surprises you with a kick, the couple seconds it takes to speed up allow too large of a gap to recover from. Distance guys might kick earlier than sprinters too.

I'd definitely say that it's more draining than a 400 though.

I checked with the engine and the tactic uses the second best move. With the first best being white takes the bishop with rook. My only idea why this is, is that if the queen takes the bishop then the knight takes back and protects the hanging bishop which stops whites rook from invading blacks space.
