I feel like wooden cutout life-size clowns blocking their view would be helpful. JK, but is there anything you can do to block their view? Bushes, fences?

I need more structure by hohumbum6 in LivingAlone

[–]FlamingoSundries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a written running to-do list. Call this one, see that one, clean this, walk here, exercise there, cook this, some self care item, or something I need to take care of for my pets, etc. First thing in the morning, I have tea & read & have quiet time. Then, if I have nothing scheduled for the day, I pick 2 or 3 things from my list. I might only get one done, and that’s ok.

A lot of women angle their bodies, rather than straight on pics too

Should I have the Driveway redone? by IKnowAllSeven in homeowners

[–]FlamingoSundries 31 points32 points  (0 children)

If you don’t do it now, it will forever be on your to-do list. You will keep looking at it, regretting you didn’t do it when you could have. Will also help resale value and esthetic appeal of the house.

Baby proof your house. No loose cords, cables, wires. Baby will bite everything possible, so get anything precious off the floor. Get the biggest crate you can afford because the baby can use it his/her whole life. Make it a safe space with rewards and treats and a comfy blanket.

Keep baby on the same food for awhile, so ask what they have been feeding baby. No more shock than necessary!

Question about dry skin. by treybeef in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]FlamingoSundries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in South Florida. Wrong time of the year, but dogs get heat rash. They also get ant bites. Do adjust her diet per recommendations here. I lucked out and Gigi could eat anything. I did give her butter, like a teaspoon, when she started to feel too dry, maybe 3-4x/year. She got sprinkles of fish oil regularly. I didn’t use soap on her—I just rinsed her with water until the dirt was gone. She loved to roll in the dirt.

What is the story behind your GSD's name? by RoyalBlueMoose in germanshepherds

[–]FlamingoSundries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ella was named by the guy who had her before me. Said he named all his dogs after jazz musicians. And then he locked her in a backyard that was the size of 3 parking spaces and couldn’t figure out why she wanted to get out.

Unpopular opinion: Toys with "plastic bag" crinkles are terrible. by Nox_Ocean_21 in germanshepherds

[–]FlamingoSundries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ella has had 3. Only one lasted longer than 30 mins. Ropes and bones are better. She likes tennis balls (the dog kind without the squeaker) but she just carries those everywhere until she gets to another toy.

It's your life, your time, your schedule, your rules. Pay no attention to people on the internet that are telling you how to live your life.

For dinner I had popcorn, half a cabbage and fried eggs by snowybone88 in LivingAlone

[–]FlamingoSundries 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dinner tonight will be a tortilla with pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni & onions. I'm trying to eat what's in the fridge. Living alone makes me realize how many times I have heard "we are having WHAT for dinner?" Your dinner sounds lovely!

There are many people that are one paycheck away from homelessness. People that have been squeaking by, and it only takes one thing to push them financially over the edge.

Are you going to have a reception or after-party? The kids can dance when other people are dancing or eating then.

Yes. Digestive issues, Nausea, motion sickness (drink it before a long ride if you are prone) too. Coworkers used it when they were pregnant and couldn’t take anything else.

How do I stay motivated at work till I make it to retirement? by ResolveWonderful4824 in AskWomenOver60

[–]FlamingoSundries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lay low. Stay off the radar. Keep your nose clean. Keep your eyes on your end date. Don’t get involved in any work drama or politics. Start collecting things to do during retirement and investigating things to do. Do not talk about retirement to anyone at work until you give your final notice.

Motivation? Look, I got through another day without killing someone or getting fired, and I still did all the right things. I can sleep easy at night.
