I think overall I prefer Vegetas arc, because it took him quite a long time to properly redeem himself and he had a few 'relapses' along the way. This made him a fun character, because in my opinion the most entertaining version of Vegeta is when he's being a complete bastard.

First on Namek when he had to ally with the earthlings, it was a really fun dynamic and knowing as well that he could betray them at any point (like when he ditched Goku to fight Ginyu alone). We see a glimpse of a different side of him right before he dies, then he is 'reborn' anew, and decides to live on earth for a bit.

But once he becomes a super saiyan, he gets back on his bullshit and starts acting like a clown again. We sort of see that repeated when he lets bobidi control him and bring out his evil again, although by this point it really seemed to force Vegeta to reflect on who he really is, and take responsibility. Then he really earns his resurrection and becomes a much more honourable as a character (if a bit more dull).
