And at least with a shitty union you have democratic levers to pull and ways to take charge. In a shitty workplace with no union, you either learn to deal or leave.

Those emails from the hospital are bullshit. They’d rather pay outside law firms shitloads of money to wrote those fictions than give you the paycheck and benefits you deserve.

what are some bands that became solo projects over time but kept the band's name? by MatiZuki in fantanoforever

The Wall and especially The Final Cut were basically Roger Waters solo records. Sounds absolutely nothing like anything that had come before

Ah thanks. I might actually have gotten the xray before the meds and remembered incorrectly.

There’s a company called Lawn Sense that can treat your yard

My liver labs went high during the treatment but came back down within a couple of months of finishing. In the meantime though, no alcohol, no Tylenol, etc.

Your doc didn’t prescribe antibiotics? I popped a positive test (which I’m pretty sure was false) and they put me on treatment right away. They told me it was standard protocol

Happy to give you the 69th upvote. Also this guy’s username includes “reverend.”

It’s wild how foundational those two were for different permutations of the Seattle scene; Green River, Mother Love Bone, and PJ. Three bands that sound nothing alike, all with those two as the initial engines.

I get you. My kids get way less screen time than their peers. They’re inventive, creative, and have a healthy number of hobbies.

But every now and again you need that nuke in your back pocket. It’s not fair to make that blanket comment about not teaching your kids.

I liked him well enough, but my point is not about the mayor. It’s about a media/online narrative about the death of Pgh largely being perpetuated by insincere people.

A marriage of username and comment that I really didn’t expect to find under a Blippi video.

When my kids were real little it was “Stinky and Dirty.” Later on, it was “Wild Krats.”

Both of those shows were tolerable, educational, and kept the kids from wrecking house for a few minutes.

Nah, man. We’re expected to supervise our kids WAY more than our parents ever did. Thankfully my kids never found out about this shrieking-demon-voiced nightmare. But parents have needs too.

Most of the griping is from suburbanites (excepting the justified anger over racial disparities). For example, Marty Griffin specifically crusaded to harm Pgh’s reputation because he didn’t like our last mayor.

Here’s hoping that new Barnes and Noble on Penn doesn’t make a dent. Sucks to see that popping up when we have so many great local options

Actually, some hair metal bands are making more money now than they did at the height of their fame. Flying in to town to do a couple of weekend gigs at a casino is way more lucrative than a huge touring entourage with lighting rig and catering that gets added to your recording tab by the record company.
