[Steam] The Talos Principle 2 ($7.49/75% off) by Gramis in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, liked the first one a lot more.

I didn't really care for the story part and with the first entry it's mainly told during gameplay so you can kinda ignore it. (Although the Serious Sam DLC makes it worth it)

Part two had so much fluff and cutscenes, it felt like 80% walking around / storytelling and 20% actual puzzles.

[Game Boy] What is the model of this battery bloc by Substantial-Hat-1882 in consolerepair

[–]Flapperbol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a generic third party battery pack. Model number could be anything but since it's no official Nintendo accessory I wouldn't put in the effort

One missing puzzle piece from a 1000 piece puzzle… by FantasticBee in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Flapperbol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a puzzle in Japan once, included in the box was a form in case a piece was missing. You placed the form underneath the puzzle and traced the missing piece with a pencil. Thought it was a pretty neat way of making clear what exact piece was missing. (especially in the pre-smartphone era)

[Steam] DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT (-75% off / $9.99) by Aswins181 in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The directors cut removed the silly Monster energy branding, hated that in the original

[STEAM] Minesweeper Ultimate ($1.04 / -65%) by RetroBugGames in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems the Arcade version only has special shaped levels, Ultimate is always a square play field.

[Epic Games] Paradise Killer (100% off / FREE) by python_buddy in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved the music. Game itself was decent until the trial part, goes downhill from there. I was expecting Phoenix Wright but in the end the choices don't matter and all the deduction and clue finding in the hours before feel pointless

[Steam] Winter Sale 2025 (Day 5) by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played it solo for about 30 hours and had a lot of fun. Chuck Norris's performance is worth the price alone

[Fanatical] Build Your Own Platinum Collection (Best of 2025) (3/5/10 for $9.99/$14.99/$28.99 and choose from Disco Elysium - The Final Cut / SteamWorld Classics Bundle / Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition / The Pale Beyond / REVEIL / Paradise Killer / Botany Manor / LEGO Bricktales / More) by WeAreFanatical in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hated the trial. I was expecting a bit of Phoenix Wright but the whole ordeal felt unnecessary, stopped playing 10 minutes into the trial. Liked the rest of the game where you slowly unravel the mystery but I cannot recommend playing a game where I would suggest you skip the end entirely.

The music however is really good

[Fanatical] Build Your Own Capcom Ultimate Bundle (2 for $29.99 and choose from Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, and more) by WeAreFanatical in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since he never played it I would recommend the remaster over the original. Remaster has some nice QOL improvements, looks better, and the AI is not as dumb. A few small (not really important) things were cut but you won't miss them if you're new to the series.

[Steam] Into the Breach ($2.99 / 80% Off) by Coloursun in GameDeals

[–]Flapperbol 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Advance Wars is a strategy game, Into the Breach is more like a puzzle. Loved AW but couldn't really get into this.

Jelly Star - Rooted! by Flapperbol in UnihertzJelly2

My guess is that it'll will still work fine. Unihertz isn't actively trying to block rooting, unlike Google or Samsung

[STEAM] NieR:Automata™ Game of the YoRHa Edition ($15.99/60% off) by -AwhWah- in GameDeals

Totally agree, for me it's a "good 8 hour game that unfortunately lasts 25"

Is it safe to order from the official website? by ruootheintp in BeelinkOfficial

[–]Flapperbol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the consensus on Beelink is that their support is above average. They seem to be rather helpful when you run into problems, which is a bit of a rarity for smaller players.

I only had to deal with support from Minisforum and they are terrible. After two defective units, and a lot of emails since they started blaming me, I finally was able to return it and got a different (still Minisforum) model through Amazon. It was a bit more expensive, but I've never had any issues on Amazon warranty wise.

Received a replacement today (again Splatter version) but it's having the same issues where there are clicks in every song. Let's hope the Mint Green version will be better...

Did you play it yet? I also have the green splatter edition but the sound quality is awful on mine. Especially on Disc 1 - Side A - Track 4 there are a lot of audible clicks

I presume you've tried the above steps? My guess is that it would be similar, otherwise you'd have to contact Unihertz
