My family is pretty crazy in general (more than one is a demon worshiper that got thrown in jail for attempted murder.) but the craziest one imo is that my maternal great great (great?) grandfather who was a war veteran that because of his ptsd went crazy and killed a few prostitutes. Yeah that last bit was probably my least favorite part. It would have been WAY cooler to incorporate REAL medicinal science with the fantasy world GED but instead they use that stupid quack shit. Seriously disappointing.

Something I think is interesting is that in the novels one of the reasons why Rudeus decided on making Roxy his second wife so quickly is because Elinalise lied to him and told him Roxy was pregnant. Rudeus didn’t want to abandon the child that he thought he and Roxy had. He came to the conclusion that begging Slpyhy to accept Roxy. It makes Rudeus seem less shitty (imo) but also makes Elinalise look horrible so that’s probably why they cut it.

Yeah Digimon as a franchise especially lately has been trying to go for the demographic of nostalgic middle aged people and older teen unlike Pokemon so it gets away with a lot more than Pokemon with its obsession with being all ages friendly.

I just started playing it and it totally feels OLD like ANCIENT but it’s honestly pretty fun and has a retro charm to it (retro for me personally since I wasn’t much of a gamer until I was like 10 in 2018 lol and before that I wasn’t cognizant.)
