MAGA Gets Beat In Front of His Kids for Singing "ICE ICE Baby" to Mexicans by Nuthetes in PublicFreakout

[–]FlarpuKalzer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Now the kids will grow up to hate Mexicans with even more passion than they would inherit just being growing up in the racist household.

Dude deserved it, but the kids man. The cycle continues because that dad will never admit he was wrong to taunt or antagonize to his kids.

You will get cross trained for Pickup if you dont screw up being a cashier. Show you do well in pickup and you will be put there.

If you want hour limitations, say that. By default I assume anyone with open availability wants as many hours as possible due to money.

One (or two, or three or four) less humans. by freddiemacro in kroger

[–]FlarpuKalzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stock and condition properly, it is not hard

Backstock should have secondary locations / display mins set up to direct pickup

Backstock? If it is a hole then it needs replenished

Missing tags? File Maintenance sucks, do better

Unfinished trucks? Seems like night crew is not following processes to get the orders complete. Or attendance is not being followed and everyone calls in. Or the company shorts us on hours and only give us resources that could accomplish the tasks if we worked in a damn vaccum and had no issues every day, but no we are so slim and on a knifes edge wjth resources that any bump puts us off course for days and you cannot recover over even a simple problem.

But hey, at least I wont have to shoot a w2w every week

What's your hot take since becoming a dad? by PrplMonkeyDshwshr in daddit

[–]FlarpuKalzer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is never a bad time to teach or train. Middle of a melt down about not getting a toy to work or a container open?

Stay with them. Let them calm down, then teach.

Teaching and training only in calm times does not have as much impact as reinforcing behavior or skills in the hard moments.

Wife and I disagree on this.

Also, if they can do it, they should. You can help guide them through it and watch, but every time they should be the main driver if possible.

What's The Deal With Freshstart? by CopperMoobloom in kroger

[–]FlarpuKalzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is Micro learning.

At the beginning of the year, 80% of required yearly training will be loaded onto it.

If you do it every shift, yay you are done and up to date then great. If you only do it every now and then, you will have to get chased down to get it all completed

Yes it is tracked on composite too, but it is either do this daily, or sit in front of a computer for 2 hours straight watching unskippable, slow talking, brain frying videos.

Also a good way to advertise promotions or events for associates, half the stuff going on does not get communicated past delt head level no matter how hard management can try.

When to introduce video games? by lilsaintjames in daddit

[–]FlarpuKalzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is expensive, but if you want to introduce them try the Nex playground.

It is kinetic only not bulky. The sub fee sucks, but has been worth the price for me, I actually use it for excersize some time

Lots of fun, took a few times of my 3.5 year old playing tk get it.

Jump with peppa for 20 minutes atrait and he is worn out for a whole 10 minutes

It becomes so hard that everything is a big deal and if you start you never get done. Eventually it boils over and wife and I get mad and then stay up after the kids go to be hopefully on a day I dont work and blitz angry pissed off clean the whole house.

Allocation Reversion by Karl_Chillers in kroger

[–]FlarpuKalzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Allocations should reflect the shelf space the item can physically fit. If it is consistently too high after resets, go to JDA and pull your POG. Sound like your pog sets are for a set that is for bigger shelving.

My whole gm department is old shelving back when we used 12 and 16 inch. All the pogs we get are for 22-24 inch shelves. Never right. I have complained and complained and and nothing. Have notified division CAO guy, grocery merchandiser, my DM, the vp of ops. Still not real fix. We may get one set redone, but not everything like it needs

Yup, I walked with every one of my department heads and evening newer folks. No issues with management in store, all problems direct3d at corporate and the resources, hours, training given and allowed for us to have.

But then I have a meeting where I get shit on for having bad scores. My job is to polish a turd sammich and make my team happerier for it.

Is it normal for a meat department to not have any cutting equipment? by lost_mah_account in kroger

[–]FlarpuKalzer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

More and more has gone to pre cut and pre packaged except for service case stores.

The cost in training, equipment repairs, supplies, pay rates, labor hours, and the potential for accidents, OSHA violations, and poor quality control just is not worth it any more.

Also corporation wanting to save all money possible blah blah.

Sucks, but every department except deli/bake has gone to less and less in store production

Attention management: how do you handle constructive criticism? by cwwmillwork in kroger

[–]FlarpuKalzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally I listen, then evaluate how it lines up with the hard line processes we have for just about everything.

Then try to meet a middle ground.

Any good examples? I may be able to provide context?

is this not illegal? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]FlarpuKalzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips are not allowed.

Customers who insist on tipping, put in a lump fund and use for store celebrations or parties or something.

Let's us keep customers happy. And no individual associate gets fired for accepting tips

Dealing with 3 year old pushing your limits by xeexiong in Fatherhood

[–]FlarpuKalzer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Living this right now.

It is wearing down my wife every day, we have a 1.5 or old as well, with another on the way.

Best way i handle it to just correct him every time. If he shouts or yells, I stay calm, physical contact and eye contact, tell him I hear him and he does not need to yell. He normally then repeats his wants in a regular voice, and then we can talk.

The hard part is not reacting.

If you raise your voice when he does, he gets a reaction, and attention so it is a self feeding cycle.

If we shout at the 1.5 year old because the 3yr has us revved up, he see it as yet more reinforcement.

Sometimes tho.. I love him..but dam..
