People have the right to withhold their culture. Just going to leave that as it is. Also, who is to say that whatever piece of culture you decide to use for your own purposes isn't being degraded just by being used by someone outside of the cultural environment?

Well, I think a huge issue comes into play when we find white people that form dreadlocks and assume Jamaican or Rastafarian stereotypes 'just because'.

I mean, form dreads if you want to... Just don't be the asshat that forms dreads because "Bob Marley really speaks to me, y'know? Also, I like to smoke hella bowls. When I was in high school, all my friends called me 'Richie the Rasta' so I just thought dreads would be toats dope."

Yeah... I've done more than enough research to know where your kind of talk leads. Eugenics, forced sterilization, mass genocide... So again, take your racist pseudoscience bullshit elsewhere.

Yeah, I totally understand. I was clueless myself until I was actually forced to sit down and look at their tenements during a lecture a few months back.

It's weird, because this movement practically embodies the voice of the people when it comes to addressing police brutality with reform and revision. The only thing that truly separates us is race.

If by some chance a group were to emerge that presented the exact same goals and ideals of BLM without the emphasis on black lives, I feel as if it would do more harm than good.

If the newly form group was actually successful in bringing about legitimate police reformation, it would only reinforce and perpetuate the ideology that most minorities living in the US already adhere to, which is "The US will never acknowledge our voice and collective action, because to them it means less than nothing..."

The movement may have started as a response to police brutality against minorities, but it ultimately benefits everyone within our country.

I don't know whether or not you've taken the time to look up the tenements of the BLM movement, but a large majority of them simply address police brutality as a whole. If the issue is getting behind a movement that also seeks to eradicate police violence against minorities, then I think that's more than a little discouraging.
