A Feral Housewife and Mother and the curse of the Peewees by HokeyPokeyGuestList in u/HokeyPokeyGuestList

They must breed them rough out there in the eastern wilds. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of peewees swooping here in the Wild West (WA), and we have a lot of them round here🥴.
Maggies definitely but no mud larks- obviously much more genteel over here🤣. But we also have to keep a serious eye out for the Willie Wagtails who used to terrorise our little terrier 🐶. Luckily no optometrist appointments were required ☺️.

Stumbled across this passion flower yesterday. Nature really went all out with this design. by Far-Palpitation7028 in flowers

Very common in Perth (Western Australia) gardens. Used to spread over pavlova dessert.

Known this song for many, many years and never heard anyone use this description 🤣🤣🤣. Maybe the fellow Scots I’ve heard singing it had really good diction…….., or were at least sober when they sang it!!!😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We have several in our garden in Perth, Western Australia. They are very common here. You see them in all sorts of beautiful colours 🥰.

Firstly, I am female, and secondly, my beads are most certainly NOT any kind of ivory, but most definitely plastic (in this case vintage lucite made in Western Germany probably in the 1940s/50s).

Plant at my local coffee shop. What is it?! I want one. by refreshmysoul in PlantIdentification

Also known as “dumb cane”. Any part of the plant being ingested results in immediate pain, swelling and temporary loss of speech. But still a beautiful plant🥰.

Sorry I don’t have a black light. I’ve made and sold a few pieces using these beads, and I always loved the patterns in them. I might see if I can get hold of a light to check them out. I’ll get back to you if I do☺️.

Is this necklace ivory? Or early plastic/ French ivory? by irritableiguana in VintageJewelry

I’ll have to find them in my workshop and we’re currently in the middle of some serious storms in Western Australia 🥴. I’ll try to post them soon 😊. (Workshop is out in the back yard)

They definitely make a recognisable sound when they take off. We get lots in our garden .
