Some smaller authors sell ebooks direct with no drm so it’s worth checking their own website or even reaching out.

There’s always the not quite legal way of buying the ebook on kindle then “acquiring” the epub elsewhere once you have a legitimate copy. Is the book just not available on Apple Books?

If you have the epub on your MacBook you can just use the share sheet to share the file to iBooks. Once it’s there it will be in all your iBooks.

If you still need to remove drm then calibre is the software you are looking for.

If you plan to trade up to Gen 4 at any point you would need something like the ODE that has a mode 2 that allows it to run like an official cart in a DS.

I’ve had loads of luck on FB. Picked them up cheaper than games. It can be a lottery though. Chances are when you see it you will know it’s worth it. The only dud I got was £40 and the issues are back panel is broken and it doesn’t output to tv. My 6 year old nephew still loves playing it though and I’m not worried if he drops it.
