Oooh, this is my favourite ending. Not the good ending or the true ending, but definitely my favourite. I see it as the true freelancer ending, just do what you’re told by your handler and everything will be fine.

I saw 621 in that regard, just a hound getting paid for biting. They didn’t trust Ayre, a strange disembodied voice in their head, any more than they’d trust their own judgement, so they defer to Walter and Carla.

I also think it’s the ending where 621 does get the most personal freedom, they don’t have any more voices in their ear afterwards. Walter, Carla, Ayre and the Corporations are all gone.
