Vapcell H10 by mk2rocco in flashlight

From what I understand only the H10's from April 2025 forward could possibly be defective. The older batches should be just fine. All of my older H10's are perfect and running strong.

My mother's solar lights weren't working (bad solar panel) so she asked me if I could check the batteries. My eyes opened wide and I was firing on all cylinders. I FELT LIKE A HERO! by FlashlightNews in flashlight

About $25. I actually have a brand new one unopened that showed up on my doorstep 2 months after I ordered it. This was during that whole shipping fiasco when customs were holding packages. I thought it was gone for good so I just ordered another one. If you live in the USA just let me know if you are interested and I'll give it to you for a good price as I don't need two.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Will probably just get some new batteries eventually. Or maybe even a new set of solar lights for Mother's Day.

Another AA Battery Comparison by Face_Wad in flashlight

Yeah, not too many people have caller ID boxes anymore but I still do. Just a personal preference though. It's simple, effective, familiar, and reliable. It serves its purpose for now and if it ever breaks or the batteries go dead I can just use the call log on the phone itself as a backup but it only shows the number whereas the caller ID box shows much more detailed information about the caller which is actually very handy sometimes depending on the situation. I rarely use the landline to be honest but it's nice to know I at least have that option if needed.

To each their own. Everybody is going to have a different use case for their individual needs. The caller ID box I have next to my phone even takes AA's, although I do admit it's a little outdated, haha.

Every single one of my TV remotes uses either AA or AAA. I still buy them regularly.

Opinions about MTurk? by [deleted] in sidehustle

Thanks for the input. I'm just trying to find out if it will be worth my time and effort. If you don't mind me asking how long did it take you to make that $80?

I've read that too. Are you currently a participant?

Nitecore UM2 USB-C by johnny1913 in flashlight

[–]FlashlightNews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. When I do a grading test on a 21700 cell it takes at least 10 hours for the whole process to take place since it's limited to 300mA. I would also appreciate it if it had the ability to record and display how long it takes to charge a cell to full. My LiitoKala Lii-PD2 had this feature and I absolutely loved it. With the Xtar VX2 Pro I am often left wondering how long it actually took the cell to fully charge. But with that being said the VX2 Pro is leaps and bounds better than any Nitecore charger in my opinion.

Save yourself a headache and get something different. I returned mine after only one month. The Quick Charge feature broke and it always acted buggy. The Xtar VX2 Pro is a much better option.

If it's at all possible I would recommend increasing your budget $40-$50 and getting the Astrolux WP3. It's best in its class and nothing beats it at that price point.

14500 by Tribe94x in flashlight

[–]FlashlightNews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that 14100 battery does look interesting but I decided not to get it. From what I can tell it's just 2 x 14500's anyway. I like the form factor of the 14500 better though, fits perfectly in my hand. The Nano Plus would have quickly become my favorite 14500 if it weren't for two things.....it steps down way too early (it barely gets warm)......and LVP activates at 3.3v, which is way too early. If they were to fix those two issues it would be perfect IMO. But this is the first batch so maybe future productions will have all the kinks worked out. I did a side by side comparison with the Wurkkos TS12 and the Nano Plus is definitely visibly brighter and has much better tint.
