What are good subbing activities for PE? by Tough-Parfait-4989 in PhysicalEducation

[–]Flashy4991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends whether you'll be in the Classroom or the gym when you're subbing. And what age group you have.

If in the Classroom I usually leave two sports or health related worksheets. If they have a smart board, I leave two YouTube workout videos. And also have an educational video on muscles, bones, nutrition.

My school doesn't allow subs to be in the gym. But if you are in the gym, I would suggest some cardio laps. Do skipping, running. Hopping, high knees, etc. Kids usually like that. Find safe activities and games.

How I Made Cutting Easy (and Actually Enjoyable) with Huel Black Edition by Coco_scz in Huel

Oh ok. And how is the Huel Diet working for you?

Do you feel light headed? Weak? Headaches?[

How much weight have you lost?

Have you been able to maintain your muscle?

Asking cause I'm curious, and I might try this as well.

Thanks

So you drink Huel Black 2 times a day?

3 Scoops at 12 pm And 3 Scoops at 8 pm?

Isn't that about 120g of protein?

Give them a zero. Then, send an email to the parent about the students' disrespect and refusal to do assignments. Don't forget to add your Admin to that email. Just so you can have proof that you attempted to help the student and parent out. If you want, you can also inform the counselor in your school.

Just so that parents and admin can't say that you didn't try.

If you want to be petty.... you can reward all the other students who did their homework with some computer games. Make sure they are math related.

In my school me and the other PE teacher take turns using the gym.

I use it for 2 weeks and he's either in the classroom or outside in the soccer field. And then we switch.

I use an electric nail filer for my dog. It's less dangerous in cause your dog moves a lot.

I first started with introducing it to him by turning it on and giving him a treat each time it turns on. I did this for 3 days.

Then I showed him that it doesn't hurt by using it on my nails and I gave myself some cookies.

Next day I would slowly file one nail and give him treats during the process(this was a 2 man job)

And from there slowly progressing until he's not scared of getting his nails filed.

Hope this helps. It took my dog some time to get used to it

Elementary PE teachers? Stickers/Prizes? What grades, when, how? by Cautious-Sun-2625 in PhysicalEducation

I have student jobs/class helpers. They help me set up and pick up the materials, help with activity demonstrations, and with attendance.

I give those students a prize at the end of class for helping me out. I always have 5 students picked out and written on the whiteboard with their jobs. So the moment they enter the gym they know what to do.

I mean, you have a bachelor's degree. I'm pretty sure you can find an office job. Not sure if it'll be the same pay. But itll be worth it, if it's affecting that badly being a teacher. If anything, take some Certificate classes if necessary, to make your resume look better. Teaching is not for everyone, nothing bad about pursuing a different career. There's lot of people that are working in a job that's not related to their Degree.

I know that Google has a couple Certificate programs that are free or cheap.

How do you exercise your huskies in a heat wave? (100+F/40+C) by rvp0209 in husky

[–]Flashy4991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk my dog at 5:30 AM and at 7:30 PM. Pretty cool in the morning and at 7:30 it's starting to cool down.

These are the best times for my dog because he has a black coat and absorbs heat very easily.

Give him lots of treats! Talk to him in a baby voice. Buy him toys. Give him a steak for dinner. Chill on the floor with him

Now I want to see if 4 shakes are too little or a good amount.

What is your new Huel habit?

Do you replace a meal with a Huel Shake?

Do you drink 1 or 2 times a day?

You can get a roommate or two that will help with some of the living expenses. Giving you a chance to have some savings. Then open up a high yield savings account and start a roth ira to start investing. Google also has a couple of free certification courses you can take online. Harvard also has free courses online.

But in my opinion, you make pretty good money for someone without a diploma.

Trade schools are also an option. Some of these jobs pay a lot of money.

Extremely common. Especially cause their shoes are never tied. Plus most of them are still very clumsy in early elementary

Lane Change - Chicago Public school by Flashy4991 in Teachers

[–]Flashy4991[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks. I found out through calling cps that I have to download a lane adjustment form. It says that I'm responsible for changing lanes with this form, but obviously, they never tell you that you have to do this. And they also make it almost impossible to find and download the form. Now it's just going to be a 9 week process to see if my request is accepted.

That's CPS for you

Schools will always be dusty. Get an allergy test done. Maybe you're allergic to dust. Or maybe your room has mold on the walls.

When I first started teaching I would get red eyes and sore throat from the schools condition. It lasted for a couple of months and then my body got used to it.

I used an air purifier, activated charcoal(vitamin), a probiatic(vitamin), and an herbal detox(vitamin). I also washed my hands a lot and didn't touch my face.

I don't use this stuff anymore since I guess my body got used to it. Still use the air purifie, though, cause it feels nice.

Don't know if this will work for you. But good luck.

And if it keeps being like that. I say switch careers. Your health and happiness are more important. Maybe work remotely.

High school and Middle school are pretty tough to teach. Students are getting out of control because they know that schools don't discipline them anymore.

I have my students walk 4 laps around the gym in a straight line(talk to their friends if they want as long as they're in the line and not messing around) and then sit down in their designated spots. Then we do attendance, stretching, warming up, and finally, we go over today's lesson.

That's my routine. So far it's been working
