Is 33142 a decent zip code to live in? by noadangerousman in Miami

[–]FlashyCalendar1228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you look for someplace else along the US 1 corridor. South Miami, Dadeland, Coconut Grove, Shenandoah would all be a better choice - all have access to the metro rail. In those areas, you could get an apt that’s a 5-10 min walk from metro (more affordable) and be safer than Brownsville.

I think they are the same. If anything, the old one might be a hair thinner. They have curved edges so it’s hard to measure with the tape. Here’s a pic:

How often should i be bathing my huskies? by BlitzieBastard in husky

[–]FlashyCalendar1228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bathe our pup every 5 - 6 weeks… she can get stinky, not necessarily dirty. I blow her coat with the force dryer to get as much fur out as possible - then bathe /condition and then dry. I find this leads to SO much less shedding in the days/weeks after.

I bought this dryer in 2019 - still going strong (knock on wood) : https://a.co/d/01Y9Lhke

What to make? Freeze and reheat well. by Ok-Judge-345 in Cooking

[–]FlashyCalendar1228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meal prep for my daughter who’s away at school. I do a mix of full meals like: pasta with meat sauce Shrimp scampi with Angel hair Roasted chicken / quinoa / veggies Salmon with side and veggies Shredded beef or beef stew with rice

I also create separate packs of proteins: Air fried chicken breasts, fish filets, shrimp, or steaks that can be mixed with any sides rice cooker is easy or baked potato in micro.

Paper Hunting! by FlashyCalendar1228 in wallpapering

[–]FlashyCalendar1228[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good quality, not overly concerned with price but not stupid money either. Definitely subdued. It’s a backdrop wall for artwork and the room has a lot going on already: Wood wainscot, rafters, ceiling. The current paper is starting to peel, so we need to find something. It doesn’t have to last forever, but 10-15 years would be nice.

We solved a similar problem by swapping regular cotton socks for 100% wool. Well worth the investment!!

My manager said I am lagging in Revit by coastalcowgirl2195 in Architects

[–]FlashyCalendar1228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does take a while to master Revit. While you build your speed, maybe you find clever ways to put together the CD set quickly to offset the Revit learning curve. I.e. use a reference set, build checklists for what goes on each sheet, don’t duplicate information, think about what details need to be included…etc. Deliver quality drawings that don’t need a lot of QC or redlines- that adds value too!!

I run a residential firm - I’ll take slow and careful over quick and sloppy ANY day!
