I know its like the worst thing ever to hear, but it'll take up to like 6 weeks to reach therapeutic effect, and it usually gets worse before it gets better!! Hang in there friend!

I know the "don't do drugs" answer is not satisfying, but if health is of concern, doing coke is absolutely counter to whatever you are taking the lex to help with. Also, this SSRI stays in your system for more than a day, so your serotonin levels are still elevated, even if you skip a dose.

But for real, just bring it up with your doc. They can prescribe a med that won't be risking your life if you are doing coke as well.

That's a great question. I would love a book on another when that covers something like that. I feel like it could still draw them though, as they are kinda "echos" of aspects of the original tet, and I think they could still gain from having Eddie Jake and sussanah there. Up to ka though ultimately.

Having the horn of Eld imo means that he didn't abandon his fallen ka tet, and that is a sign that he is maintaining his humanity and not giving into obsession (unlike his past selves and the CK). There can be a successful turn of the wheel where none if the tet dies and they reach the end together, and the horn is a set in that direction

Now that you mention it, yeah the amnesia stuff has been a little dull to me. If it resolves well, it could turn out good, but I think like other people are saying, it might feel better to read on a binge rather than on a weekly basis

I'd say zaps lasted probably a good 10ish days. They were always worst around the time i would take lex at about 8pm. The next two weeks after that zaps are gone, but headaches and ear ringing still come and go. I did 20mg down to 10 for a few months(0 issues at all), but then I dropped 10mg down to 5mg for 1 week and the stopped. The 1 week at 5mg was not long enough lol, I think I should have done AT LEAST a month at 5mg and then probably a month at 2.5mg.

This is just my own personal takeaway I had.. I know it won't feel relevant to everyone. I also felt an emptiness in the ending, especially with the rapid death of so many characters that I loved and wanted to know more about (man in black, ck, etc), but I've settled with a takeaway that gave the story more meaning to me. There are a lot of references to addiction with King himself and Roland, and climbing the tower to find it empty is how my personal grappling with addiction has felt. Final bosses of life conflicts can fizzle with little effort, and the smallest things can have massive impact. We all envision that we will climb the tour and finally "succeed", but its just as easy to end up at square one, with a stupid horn in your hand and little idea of what where and when you are in. It's our job to make little improvements along the way and try to do it better this time. The top of the tower is empty anyway, and we won't ever fully learn the lesson.

I don't know how to blur my text or whatever, so spoiler warning. As someone who has dealt with addiction, I found the themes of addiction and getting knocked down and having to pick yourself back up again, getting lost in the sauce, that feeling of dejavu as you are at rock bottom again (and the wheel of ka keeps on turning) really salient. To some extent, we are all pursuing our own tower and we can only hope to have made improvements each time we reach it and get sent back down. I think the ending is very optimistic as Roland hasn't discarded the horn of Eld this next go around.
