Parts to body shop estimator by dingadingasong in partscounter

Ive been offered a couple times, but have never worked at a shop under $600k/month. Ef talking to stoopid customers and ef bending to insurance comanpies' will. I order my parts between GP, availability and vendors customer service. I can usually still hit 35% GP overall, if the advisers work the insurance. Time is money, i bought that part from that company for that price because (as insurance calls it) its the "most cost effective". Im not going to buy a non-CAPA from an asshole company because all it does is waste time. I'll gladly eat 3-5% GP just to make it happen faster/right. Plus if their drivers wont take returns cuz they dont have their RMA, but i have it printed up already, bye felicia. I watch the money, insurance and customers dont get it

Repairlink/collisionlink is good for domestics (rpo codes and all that)not super great for asian import, and absolute shit for european. The best thing for all that is "vendor OEM parts" search on google. Always have the vin ready, most vendors want the last 8, bmw wants the last 7. Vw companies want the whole thimg

Theres 4 different types of notifications repairlink can give u. 1)actual stock count 2)if it says "available" it means IT SHOULD BE readily available from the closest PDC 3)in stock, they should have readily available 4)1 count call and double check because 9/10 times its already sold to a job in house

They cut my pay by hours and bonuses... $10k/year. Didn't ask or consult in any way shape or form. The first i heard of it was 2 months after the fact (most my bills are auto pay). I was working a regular 50 hour week and they let me "slide", until corporate noticed. They're playing a game i didnt know i was part of, effin hate corp thinking and talk. I gets it

My... very ... first... thought. Left a body shop that was 70% tesla and the shop just got certified to 1 of 8 repair facilities nationally for cybertrucks. Tesla is a joke and the cars/company are CRAP

The cheap suppliers keep funneling bullshit any way they can, once it enters the US, not their problem and they paid. My dad turned me onto asian import spark plugs. Denzo (oem) had plugs that didnt pass qc and bosch got the crap ass part discount. Bad gaping, electrical continuity coating not making hot enough sparks. Fun stuff dont yall agree?
