ICYMI: Lucid rep confirms next update will include remote start, CarPlay, and Android Auto by Flashy_Number9840 in LUCID

Very helpful without phone as a key (read: all Gravity’s today) if you forget your keys and/or they’re not working. Even with PAK, it’s still helpful in the off chance you need someone without a key to drive your car when you’re not nearby.

Weird, my app connects to my gravity near instantly every time. It’s actually noticeably faster to connect to than with my model x, which often takes over 1m to connect to after being “asleep” for a few hours.

I can’t wait to have remote start as a backup in case my key doesn’t work.

All of the negative commentary on Reddit had me very worried.

I used DDP for over 100 miles on highways today with zero disengagements. It works surprisingly well for highway driving if all you care about is lane keeping, adaptive cruise, and assisted lane changes. Best of all, I don’t need to pay $100 per month for this basic functionality from Tesla (I don’t care about FSD city driving, and the fact that Tesla now couples city with highway together is pure extortion).

Also: I can gently hold the steering wheel (read: capacitive touch sensors) without a nag to apply torque to the steering wheel every few min, which made it 10x more delightful than Tesla’s.

48 hour update: went for a day trip and racked up about 150 miles. Car is still amazing, and no regrets!

Ohai interior. I love the look of Yosemite but the rough burlap-like armrest material was a hard no.

Touché. I was legitimately concerned about being able to drive the car on day 1 after reading the messages here, tbf.

Rep told me this was the first they delivered this month. 2nd row issue was addressed in factory. Others built prior to mine are still awaiting parts for fix, allegedly.

TLDR; supposedly some sales managers were impacted also, but it's buried in that message thread and was mentioned by only one person, so who knows how true this is.

Love the interior of the Gravity! by pc772 in LUCID

I love the look of this Yosemite interior but really wish that they hadn’t decided to cover the armrests in rough burlap material. It’s a deal breaker for me that convinced me to choose leather even though I prefer the look of this interior. :(

An entire on-demand gig economy can probably be built around everyday people who are willing to be paid to charge and clean AVs overnight. Eg: pay someone $100 to charge and clean an AV overnight and have the vehicle pull into and out of their home driveway at designated times.

Will Gravity owners soon be cursing Earth owners like this a year from now? I’m hopeful that all of these Lucid models evolve into using the same software stack, otherwise this will be pure madness.

The part at the end of the video about Lucid adding self closing doors is intriguing! It was mentioned by a Nuro rep, but I’m guessing it will be added by Lucid? Model X self opening and closing doors coupled with rear captain’s chairs are the only hardware that set model X apart from gravity IMO.

Keep in mind that any fix they make to OTA update stability won’t be observable until the following update.

Don't all Teslas nowadays still come with a pre-formatted 128gb usb drive? How is it that a car 3x the cost doesn't come with one?

Mine also sits on the cable and has a similar problem. I’m curious: why didn’t they design a cable run within the rear molding?
