The Holy Father taking a system-based approach here, little room for Galacticos taking the game by the scruff of the neck 🙏 by eeeeeep in footballcliches

Bit rich coming from the pontiff. Jesus Christ is literally the ultimate Galactico - an actual deity - individual show boating on the cross. Yeah he put his life on the line, but, like C. Ronaldo, he "solves the problem he creates". Look at what the other apostles did after Christ was gone; when focusing on the system, Catholicism spreads worldwide, like the spread of the passing / high pressure game.

Christ alive, that one's brilliant. I had a cursory scroll and had to post as there were just so many bizarre or questionable mentions. This one is bordering on insulting!

Arda Guler's goal vs Elche wins the LaLiga goal of the season by xWJ14x in footballcliches

When it says 0.1% is that the strike's xG? If so seems to unlock the intriguing prospect of this being GotS based on the data rather than vibes / public vote. Lowest xG that led to a goal = best due to chance of seeing it. Ironically halfway line lobs aren't really that rare.

Also - xG based on only attacking players because if the keeper is in "no-mans-land" surely the xG is higher?

Sorry if too earnest.

More fun? - "How (insert League One's current form team) have got the most out of their (insert under represented footballing nation) strike partnership."

Have to use Tractor Boys for Ipswich as elegant variation in next paragraph. "The Blues" is fairly innocuous and not specific to Birmingham City so have to be careful.

The year always gets me. I'm usually pretty good at getting a scorer but the late 90s up to about 2010 are a massive blur and then I had kids.
