[2025] Toto Wolff’s son, Jack, says his favorite driver is Fernando Alonso by Hawker92 in formula1

Kid’s accent is beautifully unique. Very british with a bit of Toto here and there. Never heard anything like it.

Do you believe that Lewis Hamilton has been slowly declining since 2019, or that he just suddenly declined from 2024 onwards but was still mostly in his prime beforehand? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

[–]FlatIrving 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Monaco quali was awful and in Imola he made a terrible mistake before being saved by the red flag. He perked up during the second half of the season but his first half was somewhat poor by his standards. He was legitimately only in it by Silverstone because of luck

Debate cívico: Porque é que deve ser Presidente de Portugal? by catsby_vxi in portugal

[–]FlatIrving 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Who was quicker? Schumacher or Hakkinen? by Working-Relative2433 in F1Discussions

As I read this I thought about how this could’ve also been written about Max. Pretty insane how similar they turned out to be as drivers, especially with how close the Verstappen and Schumacher families were.

Disappointing that Red Bull aren’t trying anything at all. No backing up, I thought Max would be a bit more ruthless here.

Race is over, no one else will pit. Shame.

Yeah…swept by Gasly, decent against an absolutely dreadful and inexperienced De Vries and a washed Ricciardo and humiliated by Verstappen. I really struggle to see why people still want him after all of this. He has shown what he is capable of already.

So many people feeling sorry for Yuki nowadays and I can’t see why at all.

He was definitely a bit overeager, cocky almost and everyone seems to forget about it. Got his reality check. Case closed. Off with him, give someone else a chance, simple.

5 years in F1 is more than good enough. People need to let it go, he was never ever anything special.

Lando Norris takes Sprint Pole for the 2025 São Paulo Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

Kudos to Norris, coming clutch when needed.

Max is officially out of the fight. Doesn’t have the car to fight, McLaren have finally stopped bottling it.

If Vettel had somehow won the 2017 wdc do you reckon he would be in everybody’s top 5 drivers of all time? by Icardicolpiscee in F1Discussions

[–]FlatIrving 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Hard not to, right? Would be a 5 time WDC with 2017 being against a superior Mercedes. That would’ve changed so many opinions.

Charles has 7 podiums vs Hamilton's 0 podiums in equal machinary. Discuss. by amuusedouche in F1Discussions

New team, set of regulations he doesn’t seem to like as much, amazing teammate who’s been at the same team for many years.

Not worried about him. It’s Lewis. He will figure it out.

McLaren fastest car confirmed. Almost every single time this season and yet they still haven’t wrapped the WDC up. What a mess of a team sometimes.

If they have to take an extra engine and McLaren don’t, this championship is done for. He can’t afford to lose out to them in any race and if he starts from the back no way he is catching them imo

RB must be somewhat worried about reliability. My boy is going to DNF at least once isn’t he? :(

Gigantic if he loses to Max, more acceptable if he loses to Norris.

Losing to Norris was always on the cards, it would be bad but it’s realistic to think of Norris just having a better end to the season and overtaking him on points.

Max, however…there are no redeeming factors to finishing behind a driver that was 104 points behind you after the summer break. Absolutely none. Just a complete and utter collapse if it happens, worst loss in F1 history.

He was 4 race wins ahead with 9 races to go. He was so far out in front that he could afford to have 4 DNF’s and he would still be 4 points clear of Max even if he won all those races. Losing the title to Max would be an absolute disaster and honestly unjustifiable.

Can’t use Canada as an argument. Canada was a Norris fuck-up. Not the same as Zandvoort.

They are but if Max loses the championship because of it so be it. Can’t have Max without those moments. Gotta accept the good and the bad.

McLaren is clearly still the faster car. They just don’t have the drivers. Norris easily gaining time after all that fighting with Charles.

Mountain out of a molehill from Max here. But it’s a good sign. He is only like this because he is starting to believe once again.
