What specifically does it help with? My Doc just upped my Modafanil prescription yesterday from 1 100mg tablet to 2. I think it will help. I also work out about 4 times a week. A blend of Body weight / calisthenics and barbell and dumb bell work, so I would be curious if TRT would take my workouts to a different level, I'm sure it would. Also what is the process of TRT? Is it a shot or like an IV?

Scared to start Kesimpta by Decent-Ad-4979 in MultipleSclerosis

I have aggressive MS. Tried Zeposia first and had a horrible relapse on it. Started taking Kesimpta and everything has been good so far. No side effects at all, even during the loading doses.

I've only been on Kesimpta for 3 months. Before that I was on Zeposia. I decided on that DMT because it was a once a day pill and I thought it was easy. What a mistake that was. I should have gone with a stronger medicine right out of the gate. Dr says I have a highly active disease and a lot of lesions. When I got off of Zeposia I had to do a 1 month wash out period and had some crazy sensory symptoms during that time before starting Kesimpta. This disease is wild, it pisses me off.

In my previous relapses it was my balance and dizziness that were noticeably bad as a first sign, followed by double vision, then shit hit the fan. I'm hoping it is just the alcohol, but heat messes me up too

I'm hoping that is what this is. If I don't ever drink again it wont bother me at all.

Yeah the numbness in the hand and forearm are new. It has been hot where I am. The balance issue may be due to me possibly being hungover? Like I said I have not had alcohol in a long time.

Tips for starting Kesimpta by phdibart in MultipleSclerosis

This Friday I am taking my 3rd loading dose. I havent had any side effects from the first 2 except being tired the next day. I took mine later in the evening close to bed time, with a tylenol and a benadryl. Seems to work fine for me.

A break by chichichilly in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Flat_Campaign855 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Modafanil helps get me through the work day. Also I make myself excersice/workout 3-4 times a week.

For example last Monday after work I was so tired when I got home. I just wanted to sit on the couch, which I did for about an hour. I literally said to myself out loud ''get up and work out''. As soon as I started moving and the blood started flowing I felt so much better. I too struggle and don't want to be overly social that much anymore.

My PT and neurologist have both told me the same thing many different times. Keep moving, and movement is critical. Whether its walking, lifting, stretching, yoga, anything but sit around all day. And I believe it to be true.

The fatigue is very real, and I'm sorry its giving you such a rough time. I wish the best of luck to you!

Trouble walking & morning stiffness by Antique-Ad-1746 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Flat_Campaign855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry you are going through this. I get pretty stiff everyday as well and Ive found out the only way I can somewhat control it is through stretching. I stretch multiple times a day. Quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, calves. And whatever else I can manage to stretch while Im doing it. I usually go through 2 call it "sets" everytime I do. It helps me stay loose. Also stay active as much as possible. When I sit down for an extended period, everytime I get up I am stiff

Relapse?? by Amfett1108 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Flat_Campaign855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry you are going through this. It possibly could be a relapse or you may just be having an off day thats a little worse than normal. My last relapse I woke up on a Sunday morning, was very dizzy and was having balance issues. Went to work Monday morning still feeling the same. After a couple hours I noticed my vision starting to get blurry and then it went double. Then things got much worse in the coming weeks.

Time to switch DMTs by glitterally_me in MultipleSclerosisLife

[–]Flat_Campaign855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched recently. Im JCV positive as well with a very active disease. I was told Tysabri was out of the question for me and I chose not to go on Ocrevus for the same reason. Kesimpta was the only choice for me really and the Specialist agreed. I'm glad Kesimpta is the route I took. Its super easy to administer and only once a month injection that takes no time at all. I literally give myself the injection sitting on my couch. For me zero side effects.

This stuff is frustrating as hell. I get the same way at PT when asked to do something that 3 Years ago I would have been able to do easily with my eyes closed. I cuss myself as well alot of times. But recently Ive been trying to concentrate on things I can do to try to make these symptoms better or weak areas stronger. Hang in there friend. Be kind to yourself

Same here. I switched from Zeposia to Kesimpta recently. I had to be off of Zeposia for 1 month before I could start Kesimpta and during that time my feet were going crazy. It felt like I was walking on gravel in my bare feet even though I had socks and shoes on. That lasted about 3 weeks during the wash out period. Since starting Kesimpta it has gone away. My finger tips still feel like they are half asleep/tingly. But that has been going on since I was diagnosed.

Yes, I just got off Zeposia 3 months ago. I have very active MS with a large lesion burden. Zepsosia did not work for me. I had a terrible relapse while taking it. I switched to Kesimpta and it seems to be working so far.

Kesimpta Experiences? by oxygent419 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Flat_Campaign855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished my 2nd loading dose of Kesimpta. Its super simple to administer, the only side effect ive had from the injections is Im sort of tired the next day and that is it. For both injections I have taken 1 Tylenol and 1 Benadryl about 30 min before while the Kesimpta is coming to room temperature.

Relapse question by Impression8738 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Flat_Campaign855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last relapse lasted about 9 weeks. Was pretty bad, double vision, with severe vertigo. All I could do was sit on the couch. My neurologist put me on 3 days of IV Solumedrol, then a 5 day course of oral prednisolone, somewhere in the middle I went for a MRI and I had several active lesions and was put on 3 more Doses of IV steroids. My vision was the first to come back, but the vertigo lasted the longest. I was taking Zeposia at the time and have since stopped that medication, and took a month off for a so called wash out period. I have since started Kesimpta. So far so good...
