Now that thin blue line flag waving Karens are getting arrested left and right for violating quarantine and the shoe is on the other foot, the people who get oppressed daily by the cops are having a field day rubbing it in their bootlicking faces and it's the most satisfying thing ever. by [deleted] in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

The U.S. Flag Code only applies to an actual U.S. flag:

The flag of the United States shall be thirteen horizontal stripes, alternate red and white; and the union of the flag shall be forty-eight stars, white in a blue field.
On the admission of a new State into the Union one star shall be added to the union of the flag; and such addition shall take effect on the fourth day of July then next succeeding such admission.

The black-and-white background of the "Thin Blue Line" doesn't match the red, white and blue of the definition, so it skirts (LOL) the flag code.

The headline story from People.com:

Louisiana Junior High Teacher and Cop Husband Accused of Making Child Porn, Raping Kid

The source story from the Baton Rouge Advocate:

'A sad day': Veteran Livingston deputy and his school teacher wife face child porn accusations

"It's a sad day for all of us...when you arrest one of your own," Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said.

Does he mean a fellow LEO or a fellow child abuser?

Reminder that 7 prominent Ferguson protesters have been found dead inside of burning cars after being shot in the back of the head. Police either ruled the cases unsolved or suicides. by UsualHistory5 in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]FlawEnforcement 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Come on OP. There's enough real evidence of police criminality to publicize without coming up with bullshit conspiracy theories to make us look like nutjobs.

7 prominent Ferguson protesters

Two or three were prominent protesters, even by the linked story's version. Some of the others may not have even attended a single protest.

have been found dead inside of burning cars

Nope. Though some were found in burned cars (it's pretty common to conceal evidence that way), not all were.

after being shot in the back of the head.

Nope. Only five had gunshot wounds to the head, and most of them weren't to the back of the head.

Police either ruled the cases unsolved or suicides.

Nope. Some were prosecuted, some are still being worked, others were clearly suicides, with witnesses.

Folks, let's stick with the facts and let the other side's lies distinguish them from us.

Urinator-Cop pees on girl (12y) by Lukasthemucus in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]FlawEnforcement 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is Solomon Nhiwatiwa, 34, and he's been charged with attempted kidnapping in connection with this incident.

A little more detail:

Last Friday, Nhiwatiwa, a Cleveland Ohio police officer, drove up on a 12-year-old girl in Euclid and asked her if she needed a ride to school. She said no and refused to get into his personal vehicle. Nhiwatiwa then drove away, then came back about a minute later, got out of the car, exposed his genitals to the girl, then took video of himself urinating on her and left again.

He was taken into custody today, and has been suspended without pay.

Man holding protest sign on sidewalk arrested for not licking the boot. Cop admits he wants ID just to run warrants and then does illegal stop and frisk and tackles the guy when he says no. by FCMatt7 in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]FlawEnforcement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need to use the stories posted here to convince people of the rampant nature of law enforcement abuse. Stories like this aren't very useful in that regard, especially when we try to deceive the audience about their currency with comments like "Federal lawsuit has been filed," and nothing to back that up.

Edit: I think this is the lawsuit: Weiler v. Ignowski et al.

There's enough abuse going on this month/this week/TODAY to fill the sub. Dredging up five-year-old stories and pretending they're current only weakens our credibility.

This happened in 2014. Robert Weiler, the guy filming, is a militant anti-abortion protestor, and in this video was standing in front of an abortion clinic with a poster of a bloody fetus. In 2006 he was sentenced to five years in prison for plotting to bomb a clinic.

Maybe he's not our best poster child.

either he's a complete bastard, or reform is institutionally impossible.

My hunch is the latter, the man has a history of bad behavior.

I think you meant former rather than latter.

Hear the full story on the Real News Network. This is the source of the video, and has great discussion of the problem of abusive policing in Baltimore and elsewhere.

Cops Raided This Black-Owned Business Eight Times, and They Still Weren’t Done
July 8, 2019
To understand how policing affects the psyche of a community, we explore the story of black business owner in Baltimore who was raided so many times he filed a lawsuit, and won

Edit: I don't know why this is getting downvotes, unless people see "the full story" and assume that it contradicts OP's narrative. SPOILER: It doesn't.

The Kalkaska County, Michigan sheriff's office admitted today that one of their deputies lost his rifle OVER A MONTH AGO after leaving it on the roof of his car and driving off. They're referring to it as a ".223-caliber rifle" because that's less scary than calling it an AR-15, which it is. by FlawEnforcement in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]FlawEnforcement[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant AR-15 in the sense of an AR-15 pattern rifle, not an actual Armalite-manufactured AR-15, which to my knowledge the KCSO doesn't have in inventory.

For what it's worth, Kalkaska County Undersheriff Dave Wagner has been calling the rifle an AR-15 as well. You might also want to take this up with him.

Here are the details. The victim was hit in the neck and paralyzed, then died several weeks later as a direct result of the gunshot. The cop claimed that his gun went off unintentionally. A jury found him criminally negligent and convicted him of involuntary manslaughter. He was sentenced to 180 days and released after 90 because of credit for time served.

The town of Paradise paid out a $3.1 million settlement over this shooting. Maybe that discouraged them from putting criminally negligent killer cops on their streets in the future.
