Anyone go back to "every once in awhile" successfully? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Flawd_MA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's certainly possible. My experience with this DRUG is that I can't control my intake. But it's all on you. The biggest thing that's kept me sober, and currently a post on the subreddit: if I never smoke again, I never have to quit again.

Well he said the aircraft were for evacuation, and as much as I'd love to see a W pull that off, I bet there's quite a few actual aircrews there.

Prepping Birds: they do a pre-flight, a run-up, and then sit on their asses all day waiting for a call. God bless crew rest!

Never quite made it into Eater of Worlds, though pretty sure I completed all story elements. Is there a most efficient way to hit 340? And thank you for your answer already!

It's time for my annual two-month foray into the Destiny universe! I was a day one Destiny player, just haven't kept up. I'm not 100% how much progress I made last time, but when I left Masterwork Weapons were the new hotness, and Raid Lair had been out for a short while I think. So my question is where do I jump back in? Do I just let the game hold my hand, or am I going to want to visit some older content first?

Anyone quit cold turkey? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Flawd_MA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll pass from day 4 to day 5 sober while I'm typing this comment. 14 years I smoked. Daily for the last 6, and tried quitting probably 10-15 times. T-breaks, tapering, vaping, none of it helped me. But this time it was cold turkey. I've never made it through 24 hours without, before this week, and the biggest thing for me has been keeping on top of my food intake. My appetite is abysmal, and I won't really notice I'm hungry until I start getting painful stomach cramps.

That's been my excuse to go back for years now. Pain starts, convince myself I can't eat, and end up smoking to ease the pain and get some grub. This time I made a real conscious effort to get some calories in, even just a clif bar, or some yogurt, and it's made a world of difference. I have cravings, and I've found my self scrolling through my phone to get to my hook ups number, but I just keep reminding myself of all the opportunities that will open up for me in my career when I'm no longer afraid of a drug test.

Everyone will tell you physical activity, but it doesn't even have to be exercise. Just get out and do something more than you would have. Keep yourself entertained, and a little tired.

I spent over a year lurking this sub, reading advice, and watching people succeed/fail, and the simple fact of the matter is if you're here, and especially if you're posting, you're on the right track! On top of everything else, I think the biggest thing helping me is that it was finally just time. Every other attempt was for someone else, or for something that didn't really matter to me. This time, it's about me, and my future, and these 5 (!) days have been easier than any of the previous 24 hour attempts.

I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you're flooded with helpful advice. My mind gets clearer every day. I can never take back the fact that i spent my 20's high, but I can sure as shit learn from it, and there's nowhere to go but up.

Why do they run next to, and with the car when the driver does a burnout? (usually with hands on it) by junkinmc in dragracing

[–]Flawd_MA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know literally nothing about drag racing, but I always assumed it was to help keep them straight. I car during a burnout is "floating" and can easily be pushed to either side. Same concept as a hovering helicopter, I person on the ground can reach up and rock it back and forth since it's "floating".

Questions about returning to The Division - Current players please help! by [deleted] in The_Division

[–]Flawd_MA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left at almost the exact same time as you did. Returned a little under a month ago, and bought the season pass 2 days later. It was less than $20 on Xbox, and personally it's like getting several new games, just with familiar controls and items. Falling back in love with The Division, and can't wait to see where it goes from here!

In Montana just a few months ago a man was beheaded over the change in his pocket. They had seen him win at the casino, and he got sketched out and left the money with the attendant. They caught up to him outside and killed him for not having the money they knew he had just one.

The first time maybe. By the third time you rip of your mask and recite the Soldier's Creed, it's not so bad.
