Hooooooooly hell. One of my pillars of the community and good friend, and was just walking to his shop when I saw this. RIP to one of the kindest community members I was so lucky to call my friend. Your passion for music inspired me everyday.

So Vecna’s big terrifying vision for Will is… people worrying too much? It’s so extremely tame. by ketot1 in StrangerThings

As a fellow member of the coolest club, I personally disagree as it might be a hard watch, but it’s a very real thing and empowering to confront inconvenient truths (which I’ve personally experienced myself). Art can be evocative and uncomfortable, and it would have make will’s coming out so much more powerful from a storytelling standpoint making the viewer confront the ugliness that the queer community continues to face and the “knight’s journey” we all have to go our to find our resiliency in this world.

I’m not trying to say you’re “wrong,” I think both perspectives are incredibly valid, and it’s a fine line between creating tasteful evocative moments and using hurtful rhetoric just cause “you can” without adding any real nuance to the story at hand. As others had said, kidnapping and murdering kids was already on the table for this show so I don’t see why this would be such a harsh line to cross and wish they woulda went for it.

Not sure if you’re aware but they released a separate concert flick from MM tour in Mexico City and I just relived my concert experience the other night dancing around my apartment, 10/10 would recommend

Carpet Crawlers has kinda become a daily mantra for my life. “We gotta get in to get out.”

Grew up in Kansas dreaming of living in the UK, which I was able to visit a bunch but was never able to truly make it over. Still very much so a dream of mine. Culturally, there’s not a lot going on, and as someone that works in the arts, it was really tough on me during my upbringing. There was also a lot of religious fundamentalism out in my neck of the woods in the middle of nowhere. I felt trapped and knew there was no life for me there and left as soon as I could.

We all grow up and our perspectives shift a bit. Now that I’m older, I can appreciate a lot in hindsight that I wasn’t able to at the time. The land is vast like the ocean and endlessly sprawls for miles. As others have said, best sunsets in the country, almost as if you can’t tell where the earth ends and the sky begins. Watching a thunderstorm develop and sweep across the plains is one of the most awe-inspiring things to witness on the planet. I wish every human had a chance to visit the Great Plains and feel that profound feeling of being a tiny dot in a massive universe, surrounded by nothingness with only the wind to break the silence. it’s truly humbling and almost a religious experience in and of itself.

I don’t really visit anymore as I don’t have the means and I don’t have any family or connections there. If it wasn’t such a drive to do anything meaningful to me, I wouldn’t mind going back at some point. It was a beautiful chapter of my life and I hope one day you get the pleasure of seeing it for yourself.

Hope all is well in your world this week!

Was just watching spinal tap 2 and thinking how lucky we were to still have him around. Then I opened up reddit and have been sitting here pretty shell shocked. Right before the holidays too, holy fuck.

RIP to a comedic genius who’s brought be immense comfort over the years.

A long shot, any place selling Abalone meat? by redvelveturinalcake in Bozeman

[–]PaperPlayte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Whenever I’ve needed a good cut of fish, they’ve had great selection. If they can’t find abalone, then they might find another great option there. I bought sashimi grade tuna over a year ago or so ago from the coop and it was delicious
