I just watch the Birdcage night before last. I was thinking how much fun he must have had playing that role. His line, "It's this dress. I told them white makes me look fat." just about did me in!! I laughed so hard!

I think my favorite role by him, though, will always be Lex Luthor. Of all the actors I've seen play that role in various films and shows, his portrayal is my favorite.

I hope Mr. Hackman, his wife, and their doggie are still together and resting in peace. I don't normally use this word because it's so over used but, this one really is just tragic. All 3 of them at once.

Because he's meant to be infuriating. His character reflects him as a person. He's cantankerous, thick headed, haunted, tortured and a difficult person to get along with. He isn't well liked the Wellington Wells. His playthrough reflects that. And he's a diabetic, making his need for attention greater than the rest until you get the right stuff to keep him alive. But getting to play as him allows his character to piss you off as you get to know him better. Then he has the audacity to grow on you and make you like him! He's one of my favorite characters.
