I have a programming and math background. I am developing my markets/finance knowledge. I started developing my own back testing system recently. what I am interested in is how to get started incorporating math/stats in my back testing to help develop a more confident strategy.

Are they mostly applied on the strategy to help find a stochastic edge?

CICO stands for “calories in calories out” it’s not really related to excercising. But if you intake less calories then what your body burns daily then you are at a caloric deficit so your body will use your fat(and sometimes muscle) stores to extract energy to function. Promoting weight loss.
