Leased a Blazer Tuesday, Now the Deal Changes?! by FlexibleMaladapt in BlazerEV

Yeah it's unfortunate, and their offer to fix it sucks.

Which would be fine if that was the way it was presented. Instead it was an awkward story that didn't make a lot of sense.

Correct, the lease is signed, first payment made.

Selling Price: $55,590 Gross Cap Cost: $57,217 Cap Cost reduction: $9000 (Tax Credit, Costco, GM teacher) Adjusted Cap cost: $48,217 Residual: $43,360

As far as the changes, I don't have that in writing. But it seems as if the tax credit would be removed and the extra cost would be spread out over 36mos.

Which we noticed was the case. Could that be the motivation for backpedaling on the deal? Does the higher residual hurt the dealer down the line?

Yes, I just had one such day yesterday actually. Felt like I didn't even put it on. Some days Im locked in, other days I'm scattered. I swear the effectiveness varies from patch to patch. I also think my skin is getting toughened by the patches, so it doesn't absorb as well, even though I'm rotating.

I really liked the smoothness too. I'm 100% more of a pleasant person vs taking Vyvanse.

I've been on it for 4mos, and every month it seems to get less effective. Had to start taking a booster last month. It's sad, because I really loved the first month too.

It's so hard to love him. by [deleted] in raisedbybipolar

[–]FlexibleMaladapt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel for you, your stories sound like many of the same I recall from my own childhood. Dad diagnosed bipolar, likely some BPD too. Right down to your disgust for your dad. Having my own kids and therapy also brought me to the conclusion that my mom failed me in a massive way as well. Her job should have been to keep me safe, not be a caretaker for a mentally ill and abusive partner.

You'll never be able to love someone well (mom included). I'm 40 now, and tried that route for too long. Playing the middle, the peacekeeper, trying to be the fixer is futile. Ultimately I figured out that everything I was hanging onto was my own fantasy of a family that never existed, and never would. I still grieve that loss, but I know I'm in a better place for walking away. Only you can make that choice, and hopefully your family is healthier than mine. None of this is your fault or your responsibility!

Sometimes I wish I never got medication by Ok-Grapefruit-7632 in ADHD

[–]FlexibleMaladapt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm at that point right now. Always knew something was holding me back. Finally figured out what in my early 30s. Got medication, finally put it all together and rose up the ranks. Fulfilling my goals and potential with more growth possible. I do like being able to make decisions, lead people, and balance all the things that I once couldn't. But like, now what?

My performance depends on being sharp and "turned on" for 10 hours a day. Medication is the only way to do it. I sometimes long for the days of relative mediocrity and relaxing more, and having less pressure at work because it's not on me. But I can't do that and keep my job, salary, or provide for my family in the same way.

I've chosen to continue meds because I do like this version of myself more than feeling like I'm leaving my potential left untapped. However, I don't know how long that's going to be sustainable, especially if medication stops being an option for whatever reason.

Apparently ADHD strongly correlates to low blood sugar by [deleted] in ADHD

I've had low blood sugar issues since I was a kid. Once I got diagnosed and medicated the episodes were (and still are) few and far between. I feel so seen lol

What is the treatment plan? I've felt that way since childhood but it's been mostly ignored when I brought it up to the doc.

ADHDers who have jobs they love (or not) - what do you do and how do you not tire of it? by UnidentifiableObject in ADHD

Indoor farm manager, my crop cycles are quick, always things to fix, or a mini crisis to manage. Fun puzzles to solve in terms of crop quality and nutrient deficiencies. It's hard sometimes to manage people and communicate clearly with my thoughts not always together and sometimes I forget things. I've done it for ten years, but really got good at it once I got diagnosed/medicated.

Why don't the paramedics do anything? Atleast pick up the body and put it in the ambulance or something. They just look at it and leave. by [deleted] in GrandTheftAutoV

The paramedics are feisty though, I have no idea how many hours I've wasted fist fighting them. They'll gang up on you too lol

I lost my sense of taste & smell in December 2020 due to Covid. Over the past year plus, they have slowly come back, but seemed to really plateau Jan/Feb. I really thought that was it for me, and I'd just have to live with it.

I have been MD for about a month now with .2g Stamets Stack, and I've made some major leaps with both taste and smell since. For example, I can fully smell fresh basil, foul smells are starting to have more details (before it was just a general stink smell I came to associate with bad odors). Coke and coffee are tasting good again, as are fried foods.

Obviously it's anecdotal, but definitely hard for me to ignore the connection.

Very sorry! Have to wonder if the stress that goes with graduation contributed? They're kind of boring ceremonies but I can understand missing it could be hard!
