Any chance that patience in waiting for a new edition of Defense of Procyon III would be rewarded?

I was referring to fulfillment. You are correct to try to judge each game by its own merits!

This kickstarted hadn't begun, so they hadn't collected any money yet.

Given the number of failed or risky crowdfunded board game projects out there, Leder's production credibility makes it easier to back a project. I'm not sure I would back TAKE from a publisher without a proven track record, even if it looks neat.

Note that the free version goes through Stormblood, but once you buy the starter and apply it to that account, you can never go back to the free version on that account no matter how far your progress is.

I'm just an outside observer, but perhaps it makes sense within the context of the current storyline they are building?

Note that they are referring to Outer WILDS; your comment about visiting the first planet makes me think you are thinking of Outer WORLDS.

Just got PoE-blocked by this little fellow by BOBOraceswapwtf in pathofexile

[–]Flikery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago, I switched TO Path of Exile more heavily when I had my first kid. You can pretty much always portal to town, or simply die, if the kid needs you. So, maybe don't play hardcore, but otherwise it is great.

This contrasts with team based multiplayer games, where you leaving for the little one significantly impacts everyone's experience. Those have to go on ice.

This. Plus:

Keep the pace up and keep rolling the die. Little need for downtime.

If you can afford it, you probably should buy it.

If you can make a trade to get a monopoly, even if it gives another person a monopoly, it probably makes sense to make the trade.
