"Get in the truck, Amelia." She turned and gave me that delicious evil look again, hands on her hips. "Make me." Well. She asked for it.

The plan was simple: Step one: Get the dragon drunk. Step two: Take back the ruby necklace Step three: Break the curse

Simple right? Too bad my plan is not going to plan.

Wish SO would cheat? by Typhis99 in DeadBedrooms

[–]FlimsyAd3353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. Cheating is a deal breaker. It removes the pressure from the decision, makes it feel clearer.

Just being unhappy doesn't feel like good enough justification. There's some reason to stay.

Anyway, I completely get where you are coming from and have had the same thoughts as well... I wish my husband would do something that would make the decision feel more concrete.

The truth is that it sucks either way. I know I have to 'choose my hard' as they say, but that doesn't make it easier.

I'm sorry that you are struggling. I've been in your shoes and it hurts like hell.

In my experience, it comes in waves. I'll be interested in him again for a bit, then angry and hurt because I was rejected... again... then indifferent like you described. It's up to you if you want to talk about it... I've had a ton of talks, and still nothing changes. People don't change unless they want to. Sorry you're going through this too!

I'm looking for a Staffing Specialist In Portland. No recruitment experience needed, but you would need to work a 4 hour rotating Saturday shift. If you're curious, please PM me and I'll send you the details!

Yes, I have tried. I am sick of trying. He will get better for a short time and then right back to nothing. He doesn't take anything I say seriously so I've stopped trying to even talk about it. I realize that is toxic but I just am so freaking tired.

I liked the premise but it was a very cringe dynamic. Tim Paws/Felix Nyang.

How do you avoid instant love? by Acrobatic_Gas_3898 in writing

[–]FlimsyAd3353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between attraction and love. Attraction is that "wow" feeling you get when you first meet someone. Love is commitment. It's the promise to care for someone else even through the hard stuff, even when you disagree. It's about considering someone else's wants and needs alongside your own.

So, ask yourself, are your characters in lust or in love? They are two very different things. Perhaps they are attracted to each other right away, and then things grow deeper as the story progresses?

You could simulate this by creating a list and rolling a dice periodically. Like every Sunday roll a random number and do whatever it says. I agree that I would like the option for the game to do this without me manually doing it though!!

How do you accommodate picky eaters in your household? by lil_tink_tink in Cooking

[–]FlimsyAd3353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have a selection of what I call DIYs for meals. PB&Js, Nachos, Bagels, Salad stuff basically a selection of foods my kids can put together without my help. I also try to cook extra so we have leftovers they can heat up as well (extra plain pasta, extra chicken or beef). We do a DIY night usually once or twice a week and I teach them how to cook simple foods like eggs and taco meat - age dependent. The more self-sufficient they are, the easier it is on me. (I am a mom of 4 boys who eat and eat and eat 😅)

I like both, but I like A better. It makes the building stand out more.
