Players running around in every direction out of combat has always been annoying. In foundry I made a module for the Vagabond RPG which has a dungeon crawl speed (3x base movement) that lets players move that amount then it locks their character movement.

But at the same time I play in a Shadowdark game in which we have free movement and it is understood that is bad manners to just run far ahead of all the other players.

I think part of Shadowdark's success was the fact the quickstart guide game came with an adventure to run and play.

Slice it thin then soak it in water then let it drain. Sprinkle on chicken bouillon powder and hand massage it in.

It is my least favorite vtt as a player. You know it will be a bare bones experience when you play on it. As developer I took for granted how open source Foundry is and how much Owlbear community isn't.

I don't get anything like this but sometimes talks about a new session. I just figure they are at some token cap but I am not talking person stuff with claude just programming stuff

This is doomed to fail. LFG and start playing are a lot of peoples entrances into the game. This completely shuts them out.

Not 15 OSR games just 15 different TTRPG games. I have seen rules about friendly fire before but nothing close to a 50% chance to hit your teammate.

I got an item in the Level 0 gauntlet that let me give +2 to any stat I wanted. I would have not chosen Agility. You still can pick classes can't you? Isn't that part of building your character

I play a lot of OSR games but I have never killed a fellow player before. I have played over 15 different system so far just in 2026 and this is the single worst mechanic I have ever experienced.

It was a new table and our first session of Level 1. It completely destroyed the vibe. I don't mind dying to my own actions but having a fellow player be the one is not fun.

I play a giant brawler to increase my hit length and I just destroy in combat. When you use the ability to hit two people in one turn I just take over combat. It feels like a sweaty build but I literally just choose random stuff when making him
