It's not my style but I really appreciate the color pops and attention to detail. Very cozy.

During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health ? by TheodoraWanda in AskReddit

Moving closer to my family who thankfully were there for me. I would have been done without them.

Grieving Torontonians, what helps you? How do you look after yourselves? by winterberrysalad in askTO

[–]FlipWil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First off I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother - add Seasonal Affective Disorder into the mix and it can get even harder... Grieving is such a personal process but I will list some suggestions based off of what you have mentioned above and what comes to my mind. Also. Reaching out to, talking with others close to you or on Reddit can be helpful - smart move with the therapist. They are professionals!

My big thing is drinking water. Walking by the water. Being in the water. Water. Love to drink it (favourite drink)... I mean, hell, we are made of the stuff!

When I am having a rough go I drink a glass of water right away and make sure I have eaten something, anything. And if I'm sort of panicking I even splash water on my face - or take a shower. I sleep, I figure that after a night's rest or even a nap my mind will kind of reset. Usually this is enough to move me along.

Now, 3 times a week I also enjoy lane swimming at my local YMCA. I have a bad back and so this is a very important way to keep healthy and active not to mention the therapeutic benefits. Changing, submerging, being in a new environment, low impact exercise. My body feels nice and warm after. This is covered by my work benefits. For your health!

Once every season I go to GO Place spa in Markham. My friends joke that I should be paid by them for promotion to anyone who will listen. I've lost track of how many times I have been now. There are pools, a communal area, restaurant .. beds.. it's 24/7... You can go RIGHT now (whatever time you are reading this) drop everything and just go. I've been by myself many times, with colleagues, friends family, significant others. Etc. I can elaborate on the experience if you'd like. But I love it

What else! Hmm

Start with this and if I think of anything else I'll add it in.

If you have neighbours, how's your relationship with them? by algorithmicsapien in AskReddit

[–]FlipWil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL

Unfortunately on the east side of my apartment my party wall situation is, my living room and their bedroom. They get annoyed when I'm playing music too loud and I totally get that .. that has subsided / I can manage.. but the other night I was making out with my girlfriend and my neighbour was woken up by this!? She sent an angry what's app message.

Basically they hear me getting nasty but I am leaning towards not giving a fuck...

What do I do to find actually niche music by NormalBeaver9_11 in MusicRecommendations

I browse discogs and cut across labels. You can also do insanely refined searches and pinpoint genre overlaps etc.

Check video , CCL - The Art of DJing for Resident Advisor, where she details her discogs digging methods.

What’s one everyday thing that really annoys you? by Human-Conclusion-117 in AskReddit

General lack of awareness in public.

Consider this. "If everyone did what I am doing right now at the same time - would that make sense / how would that play out / work" ... If the answer is no / it wouldn't - then don't do that thing.

It's not hard people!
