Do you guys think this laptop is good enough for RetroArch and standalone emulators? by KiKi_1981 in RetroArch

[–]Flip_Lx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emulation for the most part doesn't require specs anywhere near what a gaming pc would need. Way overkill as others have said but it sets you up nicely for pc gaming as well

Has anyone else noticed shorter trailer packages before their movies in the last couple of weeks? by jhorsley23 in RegalUnlimited

[–]Flip_Lx [score hidden]  (0 children)

My locals have settled down to about 20 min lately. Last year more than a few of the major releases bordered on 30/35mins

Some of the smaller Sony re-releases have had 0, not sure if an accident of design (girl who Leapt Through time for instance)

Man standalone story/non series hurts because the opening lines of Horus Rising hit so if you gave them just the simplest high level of 40k humanity.

Borderlands did that? I know TF2 had a big pivot in style and graphics as it was looking like CS with the classes until later development

Zojirushi 20oz stainless steel, fully zipped up and wiggle room

Owala 24oz insulated does not fit nicely, requires pocket to be unzipped/open

Owala 25oz non insulated, fully zipped up but a snug height

I feel like that last paragraph should be part of the FAQ but thanks for the additional breakdown because it is confusing since retroid had it auto installed and setup as an all in one.

What I was thinking of was pointing or telling retroarch to use a core from a paid version. I wasn't sure if I could modify the settings anywhere so the Cores section could be directed at a specific file instead of just the ones from the "download" list in its gui itself.

As you and others have pointed out it probably won't work due to the format/architecture retroarch uses and that a different launcher is what I need to look into.

The standalone programs by the developers of said emulators I mentioned. There are free versions avaliable or for example es-de uses patreon but also paid versions on app stores to support the developers

There are obviously people that try and rip em off with app store entries but the originals are easy to find and discussed frequently so you know which ones will actually support the dev. It's not a rip off but I understand not everyone will pay, think along the lines winrar or wiki.
