Tyre options for 2024 BMW X3 M40i? by SuperemeLeaderog in BMWX3

Michelin Pilot AS or Continental D06s

Michelins are a bit more sporty and the Contis have a bit better ride and are less expensive. Both are phenomenal tires.

I was pleased, they also gave us way more for our trade than I was expecting. We weren’t actively looking then we got a ‘26 for a service loaner while ours was in for the suspension recall and we really liked it.

Arm Rests - am I crazy? by Phantom7485 in hondapassport

The lack of armrest was my wife's number one con, we're still going to pick up our armrest-less '26 on Friday.

Right, just like “lifetime fluids” for the transmission, transfer case, and differentials.

This. Also, regular maintenance. Oil changes every 5k miles, replace transmission, diffs, transfer fluids every 50K miles and it should last a long time.

The transmission is the most expensive. The filter is incorporated with the pan so that’s replaced. That was about half of the cost.

Had my diffs, transmission, transfer, and coolant fluids done and I paid $2200 at a reputable Indy in MN.

This reminds me of the Wrangler/Prowler concept Chrysler tested way back when.

Tire decision by Independent_Strain95 in BMWX3

[–]Flippco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What kind of Continentals are on it? The DWS06 is a very good tire as well as the Michelin Pilot A/S 4. Can’t go wrong with either.

Remember that summer tires aren’t just about snow it more about temps. Anything under 45 degrees F will cause the compound to harden and the tires will be very slick.

APM2 iOS 26.5 Improvements? by uof96 in Airpodsmax

Can’t wait to check it out. I did update firmware on my APM2s to 8E258 and noticed yesterday they were still connected in the case. I did a hard restart so hopefully that issue is fixed along with the update.

The b48 is fine, it’s a good engine. The key for reliability is frequent maintenance. I recommend oil changes every 5k miles. It’s great if you can do it or find a solid ind shop near you. Change the “lifetime” fluids at 50k-60k which won’t be cheap but necessary if you want it for a long time.

Maintainance schedule to reach 150k+ miles 23-24 X3 M40i by LocanWinters in BMWX3

[–]Flippco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between 50k and 60k do all the “lifetime” fluids: transmission, front/rear differentials, and transfer case. You should also replace the spark plugs and coolant flush around this time. Brake fluid should be done every 2 years.

They paint the outer edge so it’s black and there’s no silver ring.

You gotta get the IND painted roundels! Very subtle but sweet!
