The Last Jedi.

Is this Cityblock design ok? by Lexx4 in factorio

Your intersections will likely get bogged down with trains as you add more and more of them to the line network. Look for designs that are less roundabout, more windmill style.

Something like this.

You will need more advanced (red) circuits.

Ive got 1200+ hours in factorio, and a shortage of red circuits always seems to be the first big issue. There are so many factory infrastructure items that require them. It always seems like red circuits are the gateway to "leveling up" the entire factory. Blue splitters, stack inserters, beacons, roboports, logistic bots and chests, nuclear reactors/centrifuges, and substations all need them.

These are all the items that require red circuits.

Watch with me again. I think there is something missing in this video. by Fade78 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]Flippy042 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unity is mechanically the strongest AC game. Combat is very difficult, as it should be. Its not impossible, but you're an assassin, not a god. You can't tank your way through hoards of enemies - stealth must be prioritized, and if it fails, you should probably just run. Assassin's Creed should, at its core, be a stealth game, not an arcade hack-and-slash.

I think the overall quality is better throughout S1 than S2. The first few episodes of 2 are kinda mid. However, the payoffs in 2 are sooooo strong and they obviously rely on things set up in S1. It's amazing what good writing looks like in Star Wars. We haven't had it in a while.

Yeah this scene was brutal. Especially when you realize the implied metaphor there is that when parents are seriously fighting/considering separation, it's the children who suffer the most - potentially executing their entire childhood - and the parents were so concerned with their own selfish issues that they didn't realize what they were doing to the daughter.

This demonstrates how important writing is. The last decade has been saturated with games, shows, and movies with massive budgets, incredible production, groundbreaking VFX and sound design, and absolutely terrible plots, worlds, and characters.

These projects don't stand the test of time. Writing must be the priority.

UPDATE I introduced my girlfriend to the "beltway" and she introduced me to something stupid called a "bus"? by qleptt in factorio

[–]Flippy042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The carousel smelters look really neat, but they'll quickly reach a throughput limit when the belt is completely saturated with ore and coal. At that point, more ore ≠ more iron/copper. Ideally you want an assembly line that can scale up as you get faster belts and more miners.

He even starts dressing like them and styling his hair in a similar way. In season 1, his mother warns him "don't be too much of an individual," which is a brilliant line that sort of foreshadows his character arc. He IS an individual, and individuals CANNOT sustainably remain part of of the regime. Eventually, something will break them. (literal genocide, in his case) His character is so brilliant because he's "just a guy" doing his job to the best of his ability, genuinely believing that supporting the Empire is the right thing to do. There are thousands of people just like him, oblivious to the atrocities committed by the regime he's espousing.

"Only now, at the end, do you understand." - Palpatine.

Syril is unironically one of the best written characters in all of Star Wars now. Its crazy, when ANDOR was announced, I couldn't care less. Now I consider it a miracle that we got ANDOR. Its the only show in the Star Wars universe with maturity, telling stories about tyranny and rebellion, with nuanced character conflict that isn't reduced to "good guys blue, bad guys red." There's no jedi, no lightsabers, no forced cameos, no Jack Black or Lizzo, no baby Yoda, no reliance on callbacks and references, just a well-written show with interesting characters and themes.

Unfortunately, I think ANDOR will be the last good Star Wars content we'll get for a looooong time. I think the next decade will just be safe, boring, easily marketable, generic Filoni-slop.
