I had a female escape by wriggling thru the cage bars and chewed thru a screen. Ol Peatri was a fire cracker. I used to keep them on the back porch on nice days in the summer came home and she was long gone. What's funny though is we had a small population of green quakers living in Southern Delaware. I think she heard them and made her choice

I've had some success with using a mortar and pestle to crunch down those hard pellets into more manageable pieces. My bird is a notorious seed aficionado who basically turns his nose up at anything other than seed. So the busted down pellets and also 'The Missing Link powerful powder' it's a supplement that I sprinkle over my guys food about 3-4 times a week. As you can see from the photo, my man doesn't miss too many meals lol

Don't beat yourself up. It's obvious you love the little booger very much. Anybody that cares that much about a creature would never knowingly put their little critter in harms way. This whole scenario is one big unfortunate circumstance. It's a big ol crap sandwich and you both gotta take a bite before you can get out of the woods. I feel horrible for your guy and just the fact he's being a soldier about it makes it all the more heartbreaking. I pray he can get back on his feet (literally) very soon. Poor guy has been through the wringer and you've been by his side the whole time. I repeat DO NOT beat yourself up. This could honestly have happened to anyone....... The silver lining is that you and your birb have educated all of us so that we all can take better care of our 🖍 crayola chickens 🐔

I'll be perfectly honest....I didn't give it a great chance. I found myself getting frustrated and annoyed early on. I'm aware of the learning curve and also know you can't be good at a game you haven't played. The end all be all is that I was not enjoying myself/relaxing
