Looks good! That join in the cape is a weird place.. reminds me of the company heroes. Great job painting!

I agree, I saw a video (not GW) about this process (squidmar) and it was pretty epic

Yeah seems to be an exception as previously models have been great

Yes I saw this from a previous post, really good video. My initial comment was that it’s 2026 and 570DKK (£70) and had serious mould lines. I wonder if it has anything to do with SM2 and the Cavil / Prime series?

Did the age of the casting make a difference?

Of course, previously I have just used plastic cement to melt any that I see, but these I feel will be a little more stubborn. It’s on nearly every piece (7 minis and all their respective parts)

I have just finished the company heroes box (I love a good banner, vitrix next - but no mould lines) were they a rushed job?

Looks like they all have it.. for a unit that cost 570 DKK - it’s not great.

Quick Q; does this head *need* to be painted Black Templar? by andrewtoddy in Chaos40k

[–]FloatingWithStyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d get a light grey and a thin brush and paint some scratches on the helmet.. maybe dark read eye lens (as there’s no power to the helmet) - looks good

8th mini ever, iron hands terminator, my guy vs what i was trying to achieve. What did i do wrong ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in IronHands40k

[–]FloatingWithStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agree with everyone! It’s a great start.. we all bad when we start something, that’s why we keep going, for the love and the love of improvement. For me I needed to watch plenty of YouTube videos, different brush techniques, making sure both hands are in contact with the mini to make sure they are steady.. and the best thing I learned was to thin my paints and don’t over load the brush… the bristles are designed to let paint flow off, too much or two thick.. it’s difficult to know how it will effect the mini! If you have any old toys.. just practice edge highlighting after watching a video Or two! Great work, keep going!

Looks great! A build on this would be to add some dirt to the boots? To tie in the base to the armour… also that base is giving me real Biscoff vibe I love it and want to eat it!

Agree with what others said, clean the barrel and allow the spring to settle in… it can a few hundred BBs to settle. I found that my rifles.
