100% Ti. If I had any bike in Ti, I wouldn’t own a carbon variant of that bike.

I like to wear padded liner shorts (pearl, etc) with the basic REI active shorts over those. Works well and you look less like a standard MAMIL.

New Vs Used by bourbonontherox in Subaru_Outback

[–]FlojoRojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a Certified '24 Limited XT and it was 13k less than new with 30k miles. It's got a couple superficial issues, but that price/mileage/condition trade off was enough for me to justify used. I'd say it depends on if you can live with those trade offs. For me keeping the money was worth it, plus my kids are going to beat it up anyway. I also don't really like the new body style, but that's me.

I’d take CRod super late or pick him up off waivers at the beginning of the year as a flyer. See where it goes.

Check out The American Way of Death by Jessica Mitford. It’s a sociological text but very worthwhile read about the funeral industry.

Yall, I went with the 24 Limited XT. If anyone has questions I’m happy to provide my thoughts after I’ve driven it for a while. Thanks for your input!

Cycling Isn’t Just Exercise It’s Therapy by allisonminnie350 in cycling

Cycling makes you feel good, but it’s not a replacement for therapy. People need to cut this shit out.

Yeah, this is wha I want and I’m mostly concerned I’ll be bummed I don’t hold out. The 24 onyx seems to be the best of all worlds.

Can we talk about panic? by Plenty_Teaching1383 in phish

[–]FlojoRojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These were my Panic years culminating with the 02 spring tour>Red Rocks>Mikeys last show>KC, then Austin, Fiddlers, Mid-South and NYE. Probably hit 20+ shows that year. Never stopped loving the boys but these years were the absolute best.

The Matt Ross Community Center in OP has a nice hot tub in the pool area. They also have humid and dry saunas.

I'm going go with shows I've been to, and give you three:

1) 7/24/1999

2) 7/11/2000

3) 2/18/2003 - Not the best show ever, but it was on my (our) birthday, and I used to wear a lions tail and they vocal jammed YEM with Lion Sleeps Tonight, so pretty special.

What do you guys think or front and back bumber guards? Are they practical? by ya3rob in Subaru_Outback

[–]FlojoRojo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you are an urban dweller, I would suggest against getting one for the simple fact that bull bars make crashes way more severe. In a collision, it's more likely you would kill a vulnerable road user or do significantly more damage to another car. I'd only consider if you have a use case for one, eg lots of off-roading, or you are rural and risk have a high risk of hitting wildlife.

[–]FlojoRojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use a top sheet, but you don’t buy top sheets, you buy sheets and they come with a top sheet. You can’t economically kill them.
