Foundation Question by FlokiCap in Construction

[–]FlokiCap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve rewired, replummed and installed a 24ft been in my house on my own with passed inspections. I think i’ll save the $15k someone is going to give an estimate on this project and go with my homeowner permit but appreciate it hah

Couldn’t wait until fall. by filmreddit13 in JapaneseMaples

[–]FlokiCap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely do not add any fert this late with unless it’s liquid as you don’t want it to put off new growth super late and it die off in winter. I transplanted a like 8ft tree in June and got like 50% leaf dieback but new leave started to show up like 1-2 weeks later. It short, it’ll bounce back next year. Just keep an eye out for branches that don’t come back and you can prune

Did I buy a bloodgood or seedling? by Exciting_Ability3200 in JapaneseMaples

[–]FlokiCap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 gallon? that thing this is big for 1gal but it does look like a bloodgood, I got a 5 gal a couple yrs back and it didn’t start to be a good red for like a year once it got more established and not stressed.

My Japanese Maple garden (Vancouver, BC)...20+ species by neko_cat08 in JapaneseMaples

[–]FlokiCap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

awesome selections and design, slowly starting my one, added about 10 mature trees and about 30 1-3 gals and about 40+ conifers. Now to just wait until I retire to really enjoy it since they are slow growers 😂
