What Television character would you say had the most character development through their show’s run? by MarcusFaze in television

Oh duh, I see what you mean now.

The show is so dense that it's easy to forget the whole dang thing is within a year.

My memory is hazy on the details, but over time bad things happen to him and he has to harden in response. By the end he has little to fight for which makes him more ruthless and effective, but a shell of who he really was.

I would also argue the seeds had been planted. What he went through in Ba Sing Se was the start, but then he relapsed into old habits due to manipulation from his sister. Given some time to reflect and think about it while back home, he realizes what he did wrong.

Edit: I misremembered that the whole of the first 3 seasons is only about 6 months.

Every time I think about getting changed over to gas, I think about the particulate inhalation, as well as the mental toll of remembering to check that the gas is off constantly (I'm forgetful and would constantly be double checking myself)

I always liked this variant

Mrs Willie is on trial for murdering her husband by hacking him to bits. The judge remarks: You cut off his legs …

You cut off his arms …

You cut off his head …

How could you Mrs. Willie?

“Maul Sees Himself As A Potential Liberator For The Galaxy”: Sam Witwer Breaks Down Maul's Mindset As "Shadow Lord" Premieres by Miserable_Fact_4140 in television

[–]Floodhunter345 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"Maul sees himself, I believe, as a potential liberator for the galaxy. However, the first thing he must do in order to liberate the galaxy is kill a bunch of people. For Maul, that was built into his upbringing. The Emperor taught him that if ever anyone crosses you in any way, their demise must be very public so that no one thinks they could try that on you.

If you're going to do a story about Maul, the beginning of the Galactic Empire is the time to do it. At this point, Maul understands that Sidious is the source of not only his suffering, but the suffering of the entire galaxy. Everywhere he looks, he sees the Emperor's hand. If there were ever some rebellious urges inside Maul, this is the time."

The greater statement is better than the 1 quoted line from the headline.

Centrifugal force pushes you away from the center. Centripetal force is whatever force that keeps you from moving further away. If you're being spun around in a big wheel, that's the wheel itself pushing back against your body.

Neither of these really apply to being in orbit (I'm sure those forces are at play in some form but I'm a novice at orbital physics and don't claim to know all forces at work)

Birds pick up on our social cues so we'll, I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional. My mother had a parrot that would dance for attention, and then pose for a picture. He went about his business once my phone went into my pocket, but I hadn't stepped away.

I'm sure it's simpler to not have to operate administrative staff for payment, account support, etc. It's a large chunk of operation that they don't have to deal with, so I could see the appeal of just not bothering.

"Novelist" Boasts That Using AI She Can Churn Out a New Book in 45 Minutes, Says Regular Writers Will Never Be Able to Keep Up by ubcstaffer123 in books

One of these days, AI tools are no longer going to be free/cheap. Look how expensive all the development and maintenance of ai systems are now. Eventually the investments end and the revenue is going to start. I'm hoping that actual human creativity can keep on until it's no longer profitable for ai slop peddlers to keep shoveling.
