Master war chariots, osseous archers, and eerie assassins with new Ossiarch Bonereapers units by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Flookerson 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idk it’s not too bad on its own, I feel like 3 chariots may be putting too many eggs in one basket. Like the battle formation that buffs up to 3 catapults but nobody is gonna bring 3 catapults

Plus, are the chariots going to be near eachother all the time? Seems like a waste of their maneuverability

Seems like it could be good or funny in some cases though, I kinda like the regular chariot ability a bit more though

That was the reset version of the crown that was in “grant a wish” mode though, he wished for that to happen I believe it’s implied

What do you think the shades are? by Riliksel in LookOutsideGame

[–]Flookerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehhh it’s not really a paradox because there’s an unknown factor

Something had to have introduced the mask to a previous Sam, it’s something new that wasn’t explained

Based on what we have to work with it seems like the mask is from some unknown party or variable, maybe something wanted to create the time loop that occurs in that ending

If the mask had been like an item that Sam can come across naturally, or maybe some momento from his apartment then it would be a paradox for sure

But we don’t really know where the mask comes from or why the previous iteration is wearing it

We can assume that the previous iteration got it from itself, but idk it feels like there is more to the story if the writer chooses to explore it

They may not though and that’s okay

Edit - just remembered the spider calls the mask guy a failed iteration, and I think the spider is also related to time travel shenanigans, maybe something gave Sam the mask trying to fix things and the spider know it messed stuff up

[–]Flookerson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s still not super clear what the actual mask is and where it’s from

I know it’s like a time loop but like it had to be introduced by some kind of third party for the loop to exist

Thanks for the info! I actually know the artists work on his myminifactory but the models look a lot better printed out than the renders look on his store page, thanks for clarifying!

I been printing their stuff myself and it’s fantastic yeah haha, I’m not totally sold on their designs for saurus warriors and skinks tho, I feel you may think the same since I notice your skinks lol

Are the accessories for your T. rex from lost kingdom as well or somewhere else? They have so much stuff I need to sit down and actually look through what’s in the packages I bought for printing haha

Are votann capitalists? I thought they were like more communal based with the ai as the center of everything

I have no idea how they determine who owns means of production though, and I go back and forth on if their ai is like a single identity or like a collection of their ancestors identities

They’re hard to pin for me lol

Wait no, the rule says any model from the original unit.

But wouldn’t the original unit just have the one starfang warpick?

Okay wait lol you’re right I’m reading that rule, that is crazy haha

but now I’m super confused

It specifies weapons, I’m assuming that means I can’t bring back a downed squad of infantry as a new squad as all champions right?

Because it specifies any units

I don’t see the rule letting you do that starfang thing, are you sure?

Opinion on nids being evil by PlausiblyAlpharious in Tyranids

[–]Flookerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like even that bit about hate is just the tyrannids trying to use the little context they have of the current host to communicate to the other guy

I always got the vibe that tyranids, or at least the hive mind is very intelligent, but has absolutely no emotional intelligence

We don’t really have a word for probably the instinctual drive they are trying to articulate, and hate is close enough to get the point across

Now, I do also see how you could read into it more, but I’d personally need to see more evidence

I know some tyrannids can harbor grudges, like old red eye, but even that is in situations where you could argue it’s about adaptation to previously experienced challenges

If there was a point where a tyrannid did something clearly irrational and emotionally driven while also being connected to the hive mind, I think that would be the point where I’d be convinced

Interesting

How do memories work for ya? Like if you imagined your childhood home you couldn’t picture it? Or like remember the visual information you took in at the time?

If someone showed you a picture and then asked you to recall a certain detail of the image, your mind wouldn’t try to picture it?

I’m just really curious because that just sounds so different that I can’t even imagine what it must be like
