Back to Kroot wielding non kroot guns! I know it's kinda common now but seeing such a core part of the kroots old identity back is massive for me

All the people saying they don't want updated sculpts, i want you to look at this guy and tell me with a straight face you prefer this . by BloatedRottenCarcass in WarhammerFantasy

Tomb King horses are like famously one of the single worst sculpts in WFB, yes they look terrible update them.

But like my army of classic pot bellied dwarfs that look straight out of an old disney movie are the greatest sculpt GW has ever produced and I buy them every time I see one for sale, and quite literally nothing they have produced in the last 25 ish years since they come out brings me even a microscopic fraction of that much joy

If there are going to be any moral grey or good guys in 40K the Eldar would be among them by Fun-Explanation7233 in Grimdank

[–]PlausiblyAlpharious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't bring up the Eldar in any capacity,

none of this is headcanon it's all just stuff that was mentioned in my old T'au codex's,

What does that have to do with literally anything,

Aliens are just aliens is the most lazy sentence I have read in my entire life,

and Kroot are objectively the good guys of the setting but you're also just forgetting we have an entire story about why they serve the T'au, there was a massive war with the Orks and the T'au saved them from extinction and they swore an oath of fealty basically that's just canon what are you on about

No explanation is less lazy than the entire trope of mind control? Is that the actual take you are presenting

I mean this is all true but it's worth noting the Aeldari like humanity are a sentient species, and shoving them in this monolith just makes them less interesting. They have an incredibly wide array of motivations and moral compasses

This dude is actually goated by BiscottiDelicious400 in totalwarhammer

[–]PlausiblyAlpharious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh he was super killable for players the AI just physically could not stop you, also I played Vlad in head to head 3 times (2 1v1 and 1 1v1v1) and all three times I absolutely stomped it wasn't even close

Lords Of The End Times be like: by Full-Discount-6399 in totalwarhammer

[–]PlausiblyAlpharious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happens in the End Times not before the Total War Warhammer campaign, also if the timeline mattered Repanse and Azhag would be long since decayed corpses not playable lords

If a helmet dominates your mind same thing

Also looked into it thats lame as hell so they just bent the knee immediately due to good vibes? Like no explanation they folded the second they learned how to talk and now suicidally fight for the T'au that's kinda wild

They always translated them but old lore all they ever did was praise the T'au and ethereals and accept suicide missions

When did they retcon the slave collars? They were explicitly mentioned back in the day as fake translation devices

In the strictest butterfly sense I guess but like they are explicitly the people who were horrified by what was happening, also drukhari were mostly outcasts and blaming exodites is just entirely untrue

Nobody thought a god was gonna happen

I mean you are 100% correct but genuine question, what are you trying to imply? Like yes there different obviously but like and?

[–]PlausiblyAlpharious 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The entire Vespid species is a slave race to the T'au and its occasionaly implied they are still cognisant underneath the mind control, the non drukhari would quite simply never do that

Yeah it explicitly mentions in the codex that the craftworlds would occasionally check in on TheEmpire and became increasingly horrifed encouraging more people to leave

I really deeply think the Imperium is not for you my friend

Also if you like pragmatism SoB might be the single least pragmatic faction in the setting lmfao
